OK Sports Fans the times is retiring....it will still be here but I won't be doing any more updates. Look for me at 3bruces for the time being where I'll be a guest star.
No more updates till I figure out what I'm gonna do with the site. Check back every week or so.....love ya, mean it!
Oh and happy first day of spring...hopefully it won't be summer by the time blogger works again. UPDATE: Oopsie it looks like Geocities/Yahoo is on some strange calendar where today is April 2. Thank you Yahoo for helping me narrow down my choices of where to put this thing by removing your sorry ass from the running. I need a cigar. That's not a joke, for some reason I'm craving one today. Haven't had one since Friday night. And a pint of Murphy's would be nice too.
I went to a Micro$oft seminar yesterday and Mark Minasi was one if the speakers. He's the guy who wrote all the Mastering Windows (insert flavor here) books, and it turns out he's a great speaker too....it was the best techie presentation I've been to, he's funny and he knows his stuff. I went and poked around his web site and I found a couple of cool things - this letter to Dr. Laura and this great geek tool for Risk players.
Most of you have probably heard the news about Jeffy's upcoming divorce. I didn't rush to put anything up here, cause I'm not one to make light of something like that. But yesterday afternoon someone e-mailed a local radio talk show, talking about how we needed to pray for Jeffy and Brookie. My e-mail response to that request was read on the air: "No need to waste our prayers on the poor Gordons, God seems to be taking pretty good care of them without our intervention. Poor Brooke gets a house in Palm Beach, cars, servants, alimony, and no doubt a fat book contract, all without ever working a day in her life. Plus, she doesn't have to go to those yukky old races and put up with the rednecks and act like she likes it. As far as Jeffy goes, he'll do just fine, but he may have to give up that World's Fastest Christian title.
Here's another link I got from Boostay.....Alice has all the answers, from blueballs to um, coochie farts. Go ask her!
I don't know how I missed this on Boostay's site before.....hmm never really done that while driving. Maybe if it was mixed in with some phone action......
OK some Everquest freak bought a Real Doll and turned it into a dark elf (WARNING may cause nightmares) Look for Klingons to be next in a sick nerd race to have the hottest plastic girlfriend.
This bit of September 11 backlash could prove beneficial to American tech workers...of course it could also mean that China and Russia's best and brightest stay home and help kick our ass in a few years. And if you're foreign and working here, you don't have to be a techie to get caught up in the crossfire.
Another game that's great for busy people is Progress Quest, the first online RPG to eliminate all that tedious running around and doing stuff while ghey campers spoil everything. WARNING: If you don't know what an RPG is, or have never played one, you won't get the joke so don't bother downloading it. Rashomon, my Level 51 Double Hobbit Bastard Lunatic, is kicking ass....I can't wait to sell him on EBay.
Hey 3Bruces got me hooked on Beer Mogul, it's a pretty cool game but the Hard Times Brewery is having a tough go of it. If you have a Beer Mogul bar, be sure and order lots of Hard Times Triple Porter for your patrons! It's the favorite beer at WW's Pleasure Pit, the virtual strip club I just opened. WW's is the home of cold beer and hot women (both wet)!!!!!! A tip if you want to play, it's easier to make money starting off as a bar owner than it is starting off with a brewery.
This is for amateurs......I can find the nearest beer without any fancy technology, it's a critical skill for sailors.
Yes I know I've been slackin on the updates - hang in there it's been a busy week....all I've had time to do is fix Boostay's link over there.
Time to dump Morpheus (I'm sure most of you have already). They went offline for a while and then came back, claiming a DOS attack and some other problems (which included client's registries getting hacked), as well as a new client. Well it looks like they just took the Gnucleus client and put their name on it, which is kinda legal, as long as you make the source code available, which they don't. Want more? Check the archives
