The classical Venetian boat is called the gondola , however the gondolas now are most popular for tourists, weddings, funerals and other important ceremonies, and for the usual dairy transportation people consider the waterbuses that have daily routine of passing through the main canals.

Venice is very well known for its canals ,It is built on an archipelago of 118 islands and it has about 150 canals. There are about 400 bridges connecting the islands together. The canals serve as roads therefore there are no automobiles used and walking or boats are the way of transportation through Venice.
