My Best Friends Wedding _ II
![]()
Her anklets tinkled mellifluously
Her makeup applied so meticulously
Dressed
in full bridal splendour with grace
The
radiance of love shining from her face
She
walked.. no! floated towards her groom
The
only man there for whom
Her
beats and her blood thunders
The
man who holds her in everlasting wonder
An
intense love sprung from their youthful banter
Of
each others’ universe they were the center
She
loved him more deeply than the deepest sea
And
now for lifetime with him she could be
I
watched as my best friend spoke her final vows
And
the married couple took their ceremonial bows
And
slowly the icy wall around my heart melted and the pain filtered through
My
best friend had married a man who beheld my true love too!!
