Eat The Brain >> It's Arena Football!

With talks of Maurice Clarett going pro and reports of Kurt Warner not getting any playing time because he reads the bible, football fans might be questioning Whats going to happen next?

And well, you know what next is? Its Arena Football.

As we finally conclude the NFL season, with the Super Bowl and now the Pro Bowl. We get another dosage of football inside arenas with the fields just half the size as the NFL.

Now is this where we find the stars of tomorrow or the stars that have never been? But with questioning that, you have to ask yourself again, why am I here? Why am I reading Hachland and not participating in Arena football?

As you probably thinking just like me, why didnt I at least try out for this? Hell, it is only 50 yards, I think I could run that.

So with all of these questions and the overall thought that you, can actually participate in this league and be good. You tend not to watch the games.

Hello folks, your watching your fellow brothers out there, the people that had bigger balls then you actually do and actually tried out.

But for those who dont understand the inside workings of Arena football should just know this one thing Jon Grudens brother is a coach of the Orlando .

Arena football is football, simple as that right?

Well lets start on the field. Their field is 50 yards by length with eight yard end zones. Compare that to the NFLs field which is 100 yards by length with 10 yard end zones. Yet, with the drastic change in the size of the field, they do use the same ball. But that ball only has to go threw a 9 feet wide with a 15 foot crossbar compared to the NFLs 18 wide with a 10 foot crossbar.

The differences between the two leagues are quite obvious as the NFL is more main stream while as the Arena Football league is still trying to get a face. The NFL can be seen on CBS, FOX, ABC and ESPN plus they have their own channel called the NFL Network. While the Arena league is only seen on NBC.

The Arena league did gain a big following after the failure of XFL, Vince McMahons attempt to conquer the football world just like he has with the wrestling world with his wrestling federation now known as WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). As NBC needed time slots to be filled with the closing of the XFL, they signed the Arena league.

Although the league has been going for nearly 20 years the Arena football league has still been called a joke to most people basically because of the smaller fields.

The Arena football league is still trying to get out of the shadows of the NFL which is the obvious power house in not only on the football perspective but the entire sports perspective as the television ratings leader.

Yet due to Arena footballs small following and only having 18 teams it seems as if Arena football may or may not become a strong power house in sports.

And that may or may not is still greatly questioned due to the fact that, yes, theyre games are now being seen on NBC, but is there a strong enough mainstream media presence to actually make these games sound anything but humors and well, mostly fantasy?

Time will only tell, but this is one man who isnt entering the arena anytime soon.
