Each fighter will be allowed to face the dragon in single combat, with those fighters who emerge victorious allowed to pry a cut, faceted gem stone (limit one per kill) from the dragon's belly. To kill the dragon, you must kill it's head. During breaks while the "big" dragon is resting, the Baby Dragon will return. Same configuration and rules, but only marshal-approved boffer weapons will be allowed. Donations to face the Baby Dragon are $1 per entry for those 16 and older, and 50 cents for those under 16 years of age. Fighting will continue until the dragons expire from exhaustion or 4 PM, at which time final court will be held.
Because this is a fund raising event, and event fee is being asked for each day and for activities planned on each day. Please make all checks payable to: The Barony of Tir Ysgithr, SCA, Inc. Himmel Park is located a block South of Speedway, between Tucson Blvd. and Treat. The tournaments will be held in the northeast corner of the park. There is a leash requirement for all pets and beer and wine only (no hard liquors) are allowed, and only in non-glass containers. While shade and water are available, no overnight camping or ground fires are allowed in the park. The Autocrat will be glad to assist in arranging crash space for anyone attending from out of the area.
Directions: From the South: Take I-10 North to Speedway Blvd. exit. Turn right and proceed to Tucson Blvd. Turn right at Tucson Blvd., go South 1 block and turn left on First. You should be driving along the North side of the park. Proceed to the northeast corner of the park (behind the Library).
