Crown Tournament
March 3-5, 2000 Goodyear, AZ
Unto the populace of Atenveldt, our beloved Sovereigns, King Aaron and Queen Alisandra invite you each to join them to watch as the best and bravest in our land fight for the honor of succeeding them on the throne of Atenveldt.
The tournament will be held on March 4th in the Barony of SunDragon at Estrella Mountain Park. Their Majesties decree that letters of intent, with proof of membership, be in Their hands no later than February 4th, 2000.
The list table will open at 9 AM on Saturday. Please present the confirmation letter you receive from Their Majesties at that time. Opening court will be at 10 AM, followed by the start of the tournament at the command of Their Majesties. At 2 PM, while the tournament is in progress, a Laurel's Prize and Artisan's Showcase will commence. Artisans all, please bring the fruits of your labor to display for all to appreciate. There will be activities for children scheduled for a few hours during the day. All children who are potty trained and able to feed themselves are welcome. At 5 PM, Their Majesties wish to hold a court to present Their Royal Highnesses. This will be followed by a feast at 7 PM. After we have satisfied our hunger, we will all settle around the fire and enjoy a Bardic Circle and Competition.
On Sunday, there shall be a tournament to determine the Warlord of Atenveldt and a rapier tournament will run simultaneously. The lists for these will open at 10 AM. Their Majesties will hold court at 11 AM. After the tournaments are well under way, there will be a games tourney, beginning at 1 PM. Closing court will be at 5 PM.
Site opens Friday, March 3, at 3 PM, and closes Sunday, March 5, at sunset.
The site is Estrella Mountain Regional Park, Ramada 7.
Directions: From Phoenix, take I-10 West to Goodyear; exit at Estrella Parkway and drive South to Vineyard Blvd.; turn left. The park entrance is on the right, just past the golf course. Ramada 7 is on the South side of the park.
Please note that the gates for the park close at 10 PM, so if you intend to leave site, please do so by then. Please keep all fires off the ground, and all pets on leashes. The site is wet, but no glass bottles, please.
Site fee: $6. Children under 12 are free.
Feast fee: $7. Please contact Lady Ciara for feast reservations by February 20, 2000.
