General George Washington born in 1732 died in 1799. He can be seen in two different ways the first being the way that most Americans see him as the father of their nation. And then there is the British way, a turn coat. George Washington, was born to a welthy British family, in 1732, and by 1755 was a soldier in the British colnoial army. How ever by the out brake of the war for independance he switched sides, to the colonial rebel forcese. During this war for "independance" as most Americans will call it, he led a rag-tag army of farmers to victory over the seasoned veterans of the Royal Brtish Army. After this war for independance George Washington retired form the army, to lead a quiet life, and was slected to be the first president of the United Stats of America.
