Stage 2 Modification:
Last Modified:   28-10-04
Remounting the radiator and airconditioning condenser
to allow for a front mounted intercooler.
Right:  The new custom made mounting bracket.

The bracket was made from 30 x 30 x 2mm galv. steel angle and was cut, bent and welded to fit between the chassis rails with mounting holes formed to fit both the radiator and the airconditioning condenser.  The final bracket as shown was painted black so it would be differcult to see.
Left:  Shows the final resting position of the radiators and fans after being mounted on the above bracket.

The final mounting position is 100mm back from the factory mounting position and allows, with a tight sqeeze, for temporary 2 inch intercooler piping to pass under the battery tray, across the front of the radiators and back to the original intercooler.

Refer to
Stage 3 Modifications for the final front mounted intercooler and a cold airbox fitting details.

The original intercooler will be removed for this upgrade.
