GREENACRES PRESENTATION NIGHT
The Greenacres mens and women's presentation night, was held on Saturday 23rd. There was a fantastic turnout of numbers, that being our last official gathering for the year. Click here for a list of the award recipients. Well done to all girls on a fantastic season!

GF: THE ALL-CONQUERING EAGLES!

A pumped up, un-defeated Eagles team outshone the Magpies Sunday, in the battle for the silverware. After a tight first half, the Eagles went on to prove why they are the powerhouse - they are. The Greenacres Dragons would like to congratulate the Eagles on their achievement and thank them for all their support with us this year too.

JURASSIC CUP
The Dragons were on hand to assist in this highly anticipated game, providing goal, boundary and central umpires, scoreboard duties - and even the odd hairstyle. The game from all accounts was certainly a success. Well done to all involved. click here for pics!

KIZZA’S 50th, DEB RETIRES
& END OF THE ROAD FOR WEARY DRAGONS
Whilst the Dragons lost their final game of the regular season, there was much to celebrate. Kizza celebrated her 50th game in style, complete with banner. Well done Kizza – great effort! And after 63 games in the business, Big Deb Pisconeri has hung up the boots one final time. In a fitting mark of respect, she was carried off by her team mates.

OUR GOAL NOT ON THE SCOREBOARD
Our Dragon girls can be very happy and proud from the weekends result. We went into the 1st quarter with one goal in mind - and that was to prove to our coach that we can play good hard solid football against the best team in the league. click here to read more!

OUR SEASON THAT IS
Greenacres season may possibly have come to an end last Sunday. However, the sheer fact that there was a possibility to even think finals, truly reflects how far we’ve come this year. Here is our season that is.

TENACIOUS BATTLE WITH EAGLES
The Dragon girls seem to always lift when their backs are against the wall, and yesterday was no different. The girls were gallant despite being defeated by the highly skilled Eagles. Key players out, and bear bench – the girls never gave up and it was great to see a complete turn around from the efforts of last week. Well done to both teams for their sportsmanship & determination!

DRAGONS FIZZLE TO PORT
It’s quite clear that the previous “late” nights Dragonquest had taken the main focus and importance off yesterday’s vital game against Port. As all teams have, injuries and absences also hurt. But apart from that and the blow out first quarter, the game was very close and could easily have been up for grabs. Let’s have all Dragons out on the training track this week to refocus and re-group for next weeks match.

DRAGONQUEST A SUCCESS-T!
The girls performed brilliantly Saturday night, as they joined the fellas in their annual Dragonquest/fundraiser. In their debut act – choreographed magnificently by Heids (shags) the girls outshone the boys bringing the house down. Read more & view dragonquest gallery

DRAGONS TOPPLE STURT!
For the first time in its short history, the Dragons scrimmaged over the line yesterday after a gallant hit out against the Double Blues. It was a close affair all day in the warm conditions, every girl putting in a huge effort.

THERE'S A BULLDOG IN WICHITA, USA
You may have noticed the number 22 missing from the Dragons line up the last 3 weeks? Or perhaps not heard the ever familiar "jog it out bulldog" at training. Well that's cos a certain Dragons been living it up a few thousand miles away in Wichita, USA. [ read more ]

CURRENT ROUND - VS EAGLES
Although the game ended with the scoreboard reflecting another Greenacres loss, there was much for Dragons fans to be pleased about following this performance. With the Dragons midfield and defence stretched to the limit, they were also simply magnificent in the slippery conditions. [ read more ]

PLAYER IN FOCUS - BIG DEB
From time to time there are players around the club, that do much more than just pay their fees and get a kick. There are some players who are involved off field who add just that little bit more to help make the club successful. "Click here" to read up on our very first inductee - Deb Piscionere.

DRAGONS PEG 2nd WIN FOR SEASON!
The Dragons proved once again Sunday, that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with this season. Competing ferociously against a strong Port side, they managed to hold them off and walk away with a 9 point win at home. Port were down one or two quality players, however the Dragons were in the same situation, and were thorougly deserving of their win.

Along with this honour comes the opportunity in August to trial for further inclusion to represent Australia in the inaugrual "Women's International Rules Game" to be held in Ireland in October this year. GREENIES GOLF!
In the first of its kind - a couple of the greenie girls spent the morning/arvo on the golf greens. What was intended for just an hour of two of friendly swinging - turned into a few hours of harchore competition when Bulldog brought out her magic "red golf glove". "Click here" for some of the action shots.

VICTORY - AT LAST!!
In emphatic fashion – the Greenacres Dragons pencilled their first ever win on Sunday wearing the green and black. Team work was sensational all day and every girl was deserving of the win. Match report to come.
