When one of my favorite bands makes a new album I get so excited and the expectations I have for it are rarely if ever met. So, when Taproot was working on a follow up to Gift, I didn't want to get too psyched because I didn't want to be letdown like so many times before. Luckily for me, Taproot met my expectations, which were still very high and surpassed them and raised the bar for every other rock band out there. Welcome is so freaking awesome, I absolutely cannot stop listening to this record. Its hard yet its melodic and soothing. I can relate to the songs so well and the lyrics are so personal, its like if I had any musical ability and wasn't just a pathetic waste this is the kind of stuff I would write. Its like they wrote this shit for me, completely amazing. If you like what they call "nu-metal" , this is better than anything else out there and he doesn't rap so don't worry its not garbage. Easily the best album of the year without question. |
