Samuel Choroto the school director there wanted to undertake 2 projects that would teach his students research skills while bringing them into contact with their elders and their heritage. So with funds raised by GRACE Cares high school students will be interviewing community members about the medicinal use of plants in their community and secondly about the ancient myths and stories of their community. With the supervision of an anthropologist the students will produce books and videotapes that will help preserve their cultural heritage.
