1. Determine the relative advantages

 Why use technology?

Students will be able to use the internet to research up-to-date information.  By choosing which multimedia software students' different learning styles will be addressed.  Inspiration will help with the brainstorming.


2. Planning Assessment

 What are the appropriate assessment strategies?

Students will be assessed through two rubrics.  One for the Powerpoint presentation and one for the Webquest activities.  Students will be made aware of the rubrics at the beginning of the unit and all the criteria will be explained.  This will let students know what the expectations are for the unit.

4. Logistics

How do I prepare the classroom environment and instructional materials?

Students will have knowledge of internet research and general best practices.  Instructor will confirm the availability of hardware and work with outside sources to install the internet video conferencing equipment.  Instructor will facilitate the delivery of hardware and set up the chat room.  Instructor will set up a discussion room (Blackboard or Moodle) to facilitate the posting of students reflections for online peer review.

5. Evaluating and revising integration strategies

How do I know it's working?


Students, as individuals and groups, will meet with the teacher throughout the project to check on progress.  The rubric will be used to check the progress of the groups and individuals.  Any adjustments will be made if the students need clarification or changes to the rubric.  Monitoring of peer review and commenting on it.
