-02/24/00  Potsdam, NY                                                                  Hurleys
other acts: about 12 other acts, John Shaner, Sean "Agent" Orrange, etc.
SETLIST: "Angel" Opening Theme Song / Lucky / Up In Arms / Too Personal
Notes: First show by any member of Alkutezio for the new century.  Garrett performs yet another acoustic solo show at Hurleys coffee house on campus at Potsdam College.  He opened with the theme song to the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spin-off show "Angel" by Darling Violetta, then played "Lucky" by Radiohead, and "Up In Arms" by Foo Fighters.  Finally, he played "Too Personal," a new song which was debuted last year as a really early version titled "Unfulfilled Wishes"  The show went pretty well, a good time was had by all.

-04/01/00  Philadelphia, NY                                                    801 Civic Center
     support: Dead End

SETLIST: Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Dreaming / Looking at Life / Too Personal / If You Want / Due / Filk / Last Saturday / Rut / Concerned / Overlap / Ill-Fated / Tear You Down / Unknown Justin Song / Spoken Thoughts
ENCORE: Creep / O'Neill / Everlong / Filler (half) / Here Come House
Notes: First show of the year.  Many songs were debuted: "Dreaming", "Too Personal", "If You Want", "Tear You Down" and "Spoken Thoughts".  Justin Gunnell drummed on the first five songs and "Spoken Thoughts" and played guitar and sang a song of his own, whose title is unknown, Scott Monaghan played drums on everything else.  The show went really great, many people in attendence, the band went over so well that they came back for an encore which consisted of Radiohead's "Creep", "O'Neill", Foo Fighters' "Everlong", "Filler" which was performed solo by Garrett but cut short due to an audience member's asthma attack.  The show ended with Scott performing "Here Come House" which suffered from technical difficulties prompting the very hilarious "Uh oh, where go House?" line.  Overall, the best show the band has ever performed thus far, the band played with a lot of energy and Scott's drumming was the best it has ever been.  The band officially changed it's named from Alkutezio to Good Morning Reality.

-04/05/00  Watertown, NY                                                              Time Warp
     other acts: The Benders

SETLIST: Filk / Last Saturday / Rut / Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Dreaming / Almost There (OK)
Notes: Open Mic night at the Time Warp.  This was Scott's last show with the band, new drummer Mike DeMarco was in attendance.  This show was just Jacob, Bobby and Scott, Garrett was up at Potsdam and couldn't make it.  The show went well and the crowd was getting into the material.  "Almost There (OK)" made it's live debut and was just Jacob on acoustic guitar and vocals.

-04/19/00  Watertown, NY                                                              Time Warp
    other acts: The Benders

SETLIST: Overlap / Too Personal / Rut / Everlong
Notes: Another fine showing at the Time Warp Open Mic night.  Mike's first
show. The band overcame their nervousness as a friendly crowd gathered and
welcomed Mike to the G.M. Reality experience.  A very punked up version of
"Too Personal", and especially peppy rendition of the Foo's "Everlong" graced the set. "Rut" was somewhat emotional for once.  Not much stage presence, though.  Bootleggers and picture-fiends were in full-force.

-04/20/00  Potsdam, NY                                                                  Hurleys
other acts: Head, John Shaner, Ernst, Seth Warren, Phil!!

SETLIST: Too Personal / Rut / Everlong
Notes: One Night Only!!! Jacob Pete and Garrett Amyot acoustic at Hurleys Coffeehouse in Potsdam.  Quite an interesting show, what with Jacob's string breaking and Garrett forgetting how to play "Rut" and all.  "Too Personal" is played yet again, "Rut" was interesting all right, lots of strangeness abound.  "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters was not nearly as rocking as last night but still a rock'n'roll fest to be enjoyed by all, even Seth...  After the performance, Jacob took a nap in a sleeping bag on stage.  Really one for the books.

-04/26/00  Potsdam, NY                                                                  Hurleys
     other acts: Seth Warren, Ernst

SETLIST: Due / Concerned / Too Personal / If You Want
Notes: Garrett solo acoustic show.  Not an overly exciting open mic night.  Only about 10 people in attendance because open mic was changed to Wednesday for this week due to the Potsdam Battle of the Bands that, unfortunately, Good Morning Reality couldn't be a part of because of prior obligations.  Garrett played his originals in order, kind of a concept type show.  Not overly exciting although "If You Want" was pretty good, better than the other songs at least.

-05/24/00  Watertown, NY                                                              Time Warp
     other acts: The Benders, etc.

SETLIST: Long Way Down / Spoken Thoughts / Fallen Away / Rut / Dreaming / Overlap / Everlong
Notes: Another great performance.  The band is getting really tight and is gaining quite a fanbase.  Garrett played even though he was quite ill and felt like crap.  The first time "Long Way Down" by the Goo Goo Dolls and the new Bobby Ciman song "Fallen Away" were played live.  A good time was had by all.  Can't wait until the show on Saturday in Cape Vincent.

-05/27/00  Cape Vincent, NY                               Recreation Building / Recreation Park
other acts: Disillusioned, Three People, Dead End

SETLIST: Long Way Down / Spoken Thoughts / Fallen Away / Rut
     SUDDEN DEATH: Everlong
ENCORE 1: Overlap / Too Personal / Last Saturday / Dreaming
     ENCORE 2: Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Concerned
Notes: A band contest between Good Morning Reality, Three People, and Disillusioned.  Good Morning Reality ended up winning the first place prize of $60 with Disillusioned coming in second.  The show was really fun for everyone involved.  Disillusioned, featuring the one and only BiNkY hArRiSoN, did a great job.  A little tuning problem with Jake's guitar during "Fallen Away" didn't keep us down.  After the judging was over we came back to do a couple of encores featuring a really energetic "Too Personal", "Last Saturday", a beautiful "Dreaming" and a powerful "Concerned".  During the show Dead End, with special guest drummer Jake Pete, came out to cover "Last Saturday" which was very heavy and fun.  Disillusioned also did a great cover of "Pop Song 9" in honor of the mANGLER.

-06/21/00  Watertown, NY                                                              Time Warp
     other acts: The Benders, etc.

SETLIST: Tear You Down / I Give Up / The Sweetest Dilemma / Say It Ain't So
Notes: The live debut of "I Give Up", "The Sweetest Dilemma", and our cover of Weezer's "Say It Ain't So".  We were plagued by out of tune guitars but "The Sweetest Dilemma" sounded really good as did "I Give Up".  Hope to see everyone on Sunday and Monday at the graduation parties.

-06/25/00  Watertown, NY                                                       Graduation Party
     other acts: none.

     SETLIST: Dammit / Filk / Last Saturday / Rut / Dreaming / Say It Ain't So / Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Due / Too Personal / Concerned / Everlong
SETLIST 2: Say It Ain't So / Long Way Down / Spoken Thoughts / Fallen Away / Overlap / Tear You Down / I Give Up / Wake / The Sweetest Dilemma / Is It Gonna Rain Today?
     ENCORE: School
Notes: Wow.  Hmmm...  Well, probably the biggest setlist we've ever done.  A couple of debuts.  Debuted a cover of Blink-182's "Dammit", we forgot a verse but we also forgot a verse to our own song "Wake" which was debuted as well.  "Say It Ain't So" was played twice because Chris, a big Weezer fan, had not shown up yet the first time we played it.  "Concerned", "Everlong", "Long Way Down", and "Spoken Thoughts" were especially rockin'.  A ƒucked up garrrr changed the last verse of "Overlap" to "ƒuck ƒuck ƒuck" much to the dismay of Bobby and Jake, garrrr has issues.  "Is It Gonna Rain Today?", a question that is plaguing us these days, made it's live debut.  "School" by Nirvana was played as an encore but the encore was cut short due to the breaking of Jake Pete's guitar string.  Overall, a decent hard rockin' show.

-07/02/00  Lorraine, NY                                                        Graduation Party
     other acts: Behavior Modification Theory

     SETLIST: Dammit / Filk / Last Saturday / Rut / Dreaming / Say It Ain't So / Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Due / Too Personal / Concerned / Everlong / Long Way Down / Adam's Song / Spoken Thoughts / Fallen Away / School / I Give Up / Overlap / Is It Gonna Rain Today? / The Sweetest Dilemma / Ill-Fated
Notes: Another long show.  We remembered all of "Dammit" this time.  We also debuted a cover of Blink-182's "Adam's Song" which sounded pretty good.  No strings broke this time and the guitars stayed pretty much in tune for all the songs.  "Concerned" and "I Give Up" were very rockin'!  We also revived "Ill-Fated" for a triumphant ending to a long setlist.  I guess the studio is next and then the Philly Quaker Days on the 22nd.

-07/22/00  Philadelphia, NY                                                         Quaker Days
     other acts: none

     SETLIST: Overlap / Dammit / Don't Ruin a Good Thing / Looking at Life / Due / When I Come Around / Quiet + Alone / Filk / Last Saturday / Concerned / Everlong / Translucent / Last Kiss
SETLIST 2: Long Way Down / Fallen Away / Spoken Thoughts / Rut / Too Personal / Paint It Black / Is It Gonna Rain Today? / Dammit / Dreaming / Tear You Down / School / Adam's Song / Say It Ain't So / The Sweetest Dilemma / Ill-Fated / I Give Up
Notes: Wow... What the hell can I possibly say?  Our first paying gig, we were hired to play the Philadelphia Quaker Days from 9:00 PM until Midnight (although we got shut down after "I Give Up" because of noise complaints!! yessss!!)  We started out with a weird entrance / intro to "Overlap", we brought back "Looking at Life", debuted Green Day's "When I Come Around" and our own "Quiet + Alone", "Concerned" rocked hard, "Translucent" was a special treat and featured Scott Monaghan, the mANGLER!, on drums.  At the end of the first set, garrrr played "Last Kiss" solo on an acoustic guitar to a surprised crowd.  Then we took a half-hour or so break and then Set #2 kicked in with a rockin' "Long Way Down".  "Dammit" was played again upon special request by Kyle.  "Too Personal" was when the crowd really started getting into it and a mosh pit was formed and stage diving became commonplace.  We debuted "Paint It Black" by the Rolling Stones.  "Dreaming" was a little rough as was "Tear You Down" but Nirvana's "School" made up for it all.  Blink-182's "Adam's Song" went over very well as did Weezer's "Say It Ain't So".  Everybody was hushed and moved by "The Sweetest Dilemma" then we rocked out hard on "Ill-Fated" and "I Give Up", after which, we gave up when we were told to quiet down.  Lots of small jams between songs including "Charlie Brown" and a jam from a song from the Nintendo classic "Rygar"!!  Great show overall, probably the best ever, I think we may have gained a lot of new fans by the looks of things, a lot of people stayed the entire show.  It was also a real treat to play with Scott on "Translucent" because I had to miss the last show he ever played with us.

-08/26/00  Dexter, NY                                                           American Legion
other acts: don't know, but there were about 3

SETLIST: Dammit / Long Way Down / Is It Gonna Rain Today? / Adam's Song / Say It Ain't So / Too Personal / Dreaming / The Sweetest Dilemma / When I Come Around / School / Clumsy / Paint It Black / I Give Up / My Hero
Notes: This show was a benefit show for a girl named Amanda who has cancer, the band would like to wish her all the luck in the world in getting better.  It was also the band's last show before Jake and Garrrr go back to college and it was a another great show.  Rocking versions of "Long Way Down", "Is It Gonna Rain Today?", "Too Personal", "School", "Paint It Black", and "I Give Up".  "Clumsy" is an Our Lady Peace song that the band learned the night before the show.  It worked out pretty good too.  "My Hero" by Foo Fighters made it's live debut as well.  The band was well received and the crowd was enjoying themselves and the band even took requests for Green Day and Nirvana songs.  The CD should be finished soon and hopefully, after that, people will start to know the new material better.

-09/09/00  Adams Center, NY                                                          Iron Block
other acts: The Benders, Paze, etc.

SETLIST: Spoken Thoughts / Tear You Down / Par-4 / Too Personal / I Give Up
Notes: An impromtu show, set up about the day beforehand.  In fact the show was such a spur of the moment thing that Bobby didn't even know that we were playing until he had already left for Maine so the band played as a three-piece.  We still rocked the batter, though.  "Par-4", the latest song we've written was debuted at this show and rocked hard.  "Tear You Down" sounded the best it ever has.  "Too Personal" was really good.  "I Give Up" featured the lyrics "Mike, don't screw up" right before Mike's drum solo, which was pretty funny.  I don't remember the names of all the bands that played because there were quite a few but the Benders and our good friend Chris Kubis' band "Paze" played, they are really good, everyone should check them out at least once, they will rock your world.

-10/28/00  Ithaca, NY                                                               Teen Center
other acts: Midtown, Dashboard Confessional, The Movielife, Storm the Beach (Between Walls), and Minor Infraction

SETLIST: Concerned / Spoken Thoughts / The Sweetest Dilemma / Fallen Away / Is It Gonna Rain Today? / Par-4 / Wake / I Give Up
Notes: A really rockin' show!  Every band there rocked!  Midtown rocked the batter!  All of our songs were played extremely faster than usual.  A little confusion during "Par-4" when Jake forgot a chorus, but beside that the show was tight and fast!  "Wake" and "Concerned" sounded really good considering they haven't been played live in a long time.  Bobby's first show back with the band after being away for a while.
