Gabrielle had a dog party and the girls at the party brought dog gifts to donate to the nearby no-kill shelter. After the party, Mom, Gabrielle and I went to drop off the donations. While we were there we visited with some of the dogs. Skipper was one of the dogs we met.
The day finally came for us to pick up Skipper. We were so excited! When we got back home, Skipper had to explore everywhere. Now Skipper is ours!
He is about 2 1/2 years old (just a few months younger than Patch). He is just finishing getting treatments for Heartworm! He had to be injected with very strong medicine and for a month we have to keep him calm and quiet! It's not easy because Skipper is a very curious, energetic dog who can't resist new smells, but we're doing our best. Patch gets along great with Skipper and when Skipper can finally run around I think they will be great playmates!
