While the football team has brought Vanderbilt national attention, the cheerleading squad has achieved national recognition as well. Brook Dennard, a senior cheerleader on the all-girls cheer squad, has been selected by Athlon Sports to represent the Southeastern Conference in round two of its Sideline Spirit Contest.
In the competition, the Athlon sports editors choose one person every three weeks to represent each major conference in their competition. Selected by her coach to compete, Dennard advanced past round one to round two and couldn�t be happier. |
