What Is Knowledge? How Does One Discover Knowledge?

Knowledge can be defined as "what is known". In this world there are many different sources of knowledge and many different paths to discover "what is known". One can discover knowledge for oneself, learn knowledge from teachers, and teach knowledge to other seekers.

Some knowledge is scientific. Some knowledge is mystical. Some knowledge is well known. Some knowledge has just recently been discovered. Some knowledge, which was once known, has been hidden from the public for centuries.

A modern television set would have been considered sorcery of the most hideous sort in ancient times, because its operating principles were not understood then. Likewise, many workings of ancient knowledge are considered foolishness in modern times, because their operating principles are not understood now.

Knowledge has been gained and knowledge has been lost.

How Knowledge Was Lost

In medieval times, rulers and clerics feared the power of things that they did not understand. So, they ridiculed the ancient arts and outlawed practicing or teaching anything that they labeled as "magic" or "witch-craft". During the Dark Ages, books were burned, some knowledge was banned, and people who didn't conform to the dominant religion were persecuted and killed. As a result, much knowledge was lost to the world for centuries.

In the Dark Ages, previously known knowledge about human energy fields, herbal remedies, potions, secrets of health (such as yoga exercises), mental powers (such as telepathy and telekinesis), crystal vibrations, pyramid power, astral karate, and even the study of the human mind, was violently suppressed by churches and governments.

How Knowledge Was Preserved

But not all the ancient knowledge was lost. In remote places like Shambala, wise gurus continued to practice, study, and teach the mysteries of the universe. For centuries, ancient knowledge has been preserved and studied in the Mountains of Altai in Siberia. The Masters of Golden Altai passed ancient secrets from generation to generation, so that the knowledge would not be lost forever.

Modern scientists now study the ancient knowledge and are amazed at re-discovering (and scientifically proving) things that were known centuries ago.
