"Quest" versus "Test"

A "Quest" is a search or pursuit to find something, an adventure seeking hidden treasure.

A "Test" is a trial, a method for assessing skills, a set of problems and questions for evaluating abilities, skills, or performance.

A "Quest" is fun, yet informative. For many people a "Test" is stressful.

There are many so-called "personality tests" that are used to categorize people into personality types according to a set of questions answered or problems solved.

In the search for knowledge about the unique personalities of individuals, the concept of "test" seems too rigid, too arbitrary, and too stressful for our liking. Yet, there it a real need for a method to discover personality types, and learn how to best relate to various individuals, with their different personalities. That is why the Personality Quest 7*7*7 was developed.

Personality Types and Development

Every person has a distinct personality at birth. Understanding a child’s personality is important in order to properly educate that child. Likewise, understanding your own personality type will better prepare you to interact with other people, other personality types, and especially your children.

The three basic personality types are 

1) Physical,

2) Emotional, and

3) Intellectual.

Though every individual has some aspects of each type, there is generally one type prevailing that determines the way the individual acts, learns, thinks, and interacts with other people.

Many of life’s conflicts stem from the difference between personality types and from people not understanding themselves and how other people react to their personalities. 

It is even more important to understand the personality types of Indigolden Children because of their unique abilities and differences from other people. Careful observation by a trained observer can indicate which type of personality is predominant in an individual. A special Personality Quest has been created to help you identify your own personality type and the personality types of your children.
