Writing

On this page you will find information on any current works. You will also find lots and lots of questions. It is very beneficial for me if you answer them. So if you have the time go for it.

Annabelle woke up to the sound of birds gently singing. Before she opened her eyes she took a deep breath and gathered herself. As she sat up she could feel the cold morning air rushing past the warmth of her thick blanket. She shivered as she looked across the dead campfire at John. He was still sleeping when she got up to go for her walk. Making her way down the wooded deer path she scraped past thick branches and dense leaves. This was her favorite time in the day; when the sun was new, pure, and full of promise. She ducked past a final thicket of trees when she found the sun. Looming just over the horizon it cast golden shadows on her wide blue dress. In the warmth of its rays she could almost believe that this was all happening to her for a reason, and that perhaps her future wasn't as bleak as it seemed. Finding solace in her thoughts she sat down in the clearing where the sun appeared that morning. She thought about how she could repay John for all of his kindness. A foreign emotion bubbled up in her, and it ended up on her tongue and streaming silently from her eyes. Yet she knew not what it was, nor how to express it. So she took one final look at the bright morning sky while composing herself. She wanted to get back to camp. John didn’t know about these morning movements of hers. She didn’t want him to know; this was her peace, it kept her sane.
