Matthew 10:32,33

whoever confesses Me before
men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
But whoever denies Me before men, him
I will also deny before My Father
who is in heaven.”
- Whoever confesses Jesus before men will be confessed by
Jesus
before the Father.
- Whoever denies Jesus before men will be denied by Jesus
before
the Father.
Luke 12:8,9

I say to you, whoever confesses
Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels
of God. But he who
denies Me before men will be denied before the
angels of God.”
- Whoever confesses Jesus before men will be confessed by
Jesus
before the angels of God.
- Whoever denies Jesus before men will be denied by Jesus
before
the angels of God.
Acts
8:27-39
So
he arose and went. And behold, a man
of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the
Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to
Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was
reading Isaiah the prophet. Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go
near and overtake this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard
him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you
are reading?” And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?”
And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him. The place in the
Scripture which he read was this:
“ He was led as a sheep to the
slaughter;
And as a lamb before its
shearer is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
In His humiliation His justice
was taken away,
And who will declare His
generation?
For His life is taken from the
earth.”
So the eunuch answered Philip
and said, “I ask you, of whom does the
prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” Then Philip
opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to
him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some
water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me
from being baptized?” Then Philip said, “If you believe with all
your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God.” So he commanded the chariot to stand
still.
And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he
baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit
of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and
he went on his way rejoicing.
- The Ethiopian confessed Jesus to Philip by saying, “I believe
that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
- The Ethiopian confessed Jesus after he believed the
preaching of
Jesus by Philip.
- The Ethiopian confessed Jesus before he was baptized.
Romans
10:1-18
Brethren,
my heart’s desire and prayer
to God for Israel is that they may be saved. For I bear them
witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to
knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and
seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the
righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for
righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes about
the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things
shall live by them.” But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way,
“Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to
bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the
abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what
does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”
(that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has
raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart
one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes
on Him
will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between
Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon
Him. For “whoever calls on the
name of the LORD shall be saved”. How then
shall they call on Him in whom they have not
believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not
heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall
they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“ How beautiful are the feet of
those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good
things!”
But they have not all obeyed
the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who
has believed our report?” So then faith comes by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God. But I say, have they not heard? Yes
indeed:
“ Their sound has gone out to
all the earth,
And their words to the ends of
the world.”
- Paul states, “if you
confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved.”
- With the heart one
believes unto righteousness.
- With the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
- “Whoever calls on the
name of the LORD shall be saved”.
- One must believe in Jesus before he or she can call on the
name of the Lord.
Calling on the name of the
Lord also involves baptism. See Acts
22:1-16 under the Be
Baptized section for details.
1 Timothy
6:12-14
Fight
the good fight of faith, lay hold
on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the
good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge
you in
the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus
who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that
you keep
this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s
appearing,…
- Timothy confessed the
good confession in the presence of many
witnesses.
- Christ Jesus witnessed
the good confession before Pontius Pilate.
1 John 4:15
Whoever
confesses that Jesus is the Son
of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
