| Goddesscomedia invites you to join her theme camp! History: Goddesscomedia's Playground debuted at the Fall 2005 PDF event. I, Goddesscomedia, decided to attend PDF for the first time after doing all the necessary reading, research, and chatting with veteran PDFers. I didn't want to just "go" alone and be a lame yahoo or the ever forbidden "spectator". I wanted to participate! I wanted to do it right! Ah...but none of my friends were able or wanted to go. Did that stop me? HELL NO! I took to heart the burner philosphy of a "do-acracy" and just DID IT. I made this website and began recruiting on tribe and on the PDF burner email list so that I could put together a theme camp, no matter how small, to follow my heart's desire to be creative, meet people, and have a hell of a good time. What resulted was 7 or 8 official campers - only one of whom I actually knew personally before the event - and a few others who camped elsewhere but participated in the game show. It was hard work, but worth it. In spite of heavy rains, mud, wind, collapsing tents, and destroyed supplies, that prevented us from carrying out some of our plans, we had a FABULOUS time anyway thanks to the adventerous, positive, and cooperative spirits of the camp members! So...we would like to return for the Spring 2006 event scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend and give it another try! Do you have what it takes to camp with us? Updated for 2006! We would prefer to camp with artistic, laid-back people, but energetic enough to be enthusiastic about the camp and the event. In the real world, Goddesscomedia is a 35 yr old event planner living in Catonsville, Maryland, with a background in the visual and performing arts. I'm outgiong and jumped into PDF with both feet. If you would like to join us, I would hope that we could meet in person sometime before the burn - to say hello, iron out details, etc. WE WILL HAVE A MEETING / GET-TOGETHER / PARTY SATURDAY APRIL 1st AT GODDESS' HOUSE.
