HISTORY: Domini advanced as normal for several centuries. With the almost constant wars, emphasis had always been placed on weapon advancement and warfare. In the year 2050, Domini experienced first contact with an alien race. This was not a good thing. The aliens are known as the Siak’tar, and they live by conquering other worlds, killing off entire species. With super advanced technologies, they all but obliterated the landscape. The human, dwarf and elfin races indigenous to Domini, were all but extinguished.

Two factors saved the Dominians. The dwarfs dissected every piece of alien technology they could get their hands on. Duplicating them and, in some cases, improving upon them. The second was actually almost the death of all races. The atmosphere had become highly radioactive, due to the Siak’tar. The survivors of the radiation sickness, developed strange, powerful new magics. Combined with the Dwarven technology, this gave them the edge to drive back the Siak’tar.

PRESENT: The year is 3037. Almost a millennium has pasted since the Siak’tar’s first contact. Life still exists in Domini, in some cases thrives. But that life will never again be as it was before.

All species in Domini 3037 are descended from mutations in the original species. Barrier shielding around the cities and palace filter out the radiation. Thanks to centuries of genetic manipulation, and breeding programs, these city and palace dwellers appear no more then what their were before. They could not completely rid the genetic code of all mutation, but they could turn it into an advancement. Humans became faster, dwarves become stronger and the elves, they become some of the finest warriors ever bred.

Mutants still live outside of the barrier shields, in an area called the waste lands. They refuse to have any genetic work done to make them “normal” again, and even refuse the energy shielding to keep out the radiation from their homes. They pride themselves on their new powers, for their magic exceeds almost everyone else. They accept their new physical forms gladly, for such is the price of their power.

The Domini family has controlled its breeding with an iron fist. The result is that the Royal family members are stronger and faster then all other races. They try to use their new resources for the benefit of their entire empire. Evein Domini is the current emperor, over 120 generations removed from Angel.

The Dwarves have become the absolute best source of high technology. Their barrier shields are as good if not better then anything alien races can produce. Their weapons are deadly. They do sell these to the other races, as long as the price is right. Dominians have learned that if they do not help each other, then everyone dies.

The elves suffered worse then the other races. They were all but extinct. Now, most of the surviving elves serve as Imperial sardukar. In fact, all of the sardukar are elves. Their reflexes are twice that of even the city dwelling humans.

The landscape has changed dramatically. The black mountain range has been reduced to a few meager miles. Where Domini castle once was, is a huge, geometric palace, the size of the original mountain. The black ryme sea has been vaporized. The northern glacier is now a desolate dessert. The unicorns are extinct, and the only slepnirs to survive are now used as the preferred mounts of the sardukar. The language has changed drastically. The main tongue is a combination of guttural human, dwarves and a little bit of alien thrown in.

Rules of Domini 3037:

(Read all site rules first. They will be obeyed here. These are merely rules specific to this room.)

1. Kill by members only. This will change later, when the room is more established.

2. No forced captures, no slavery. This is a role playing room. Not a sex room. Cybersex is allowed, but will be kept to PMs. Avitars MUST be tasteful. No nudities. Mutants may be allowed exceptions. If you have an avitar you are not sure on, then the best bet is to get approval first.

3. Vampire feeding. Allowed if we decide to have vampire members. Feeding by members only, must be role-played correctly. No blood dolls, no vampire "sex toys"

4. All characters must be approved by the room controller first. See the links below to create a full "Dominian" character. Characters from other game systems may be allowed, but will ONLY began play at beganing level from that system.

5. The room controller paid for this room. That means it is HIS cyber-property. By entering this room, you agree to the following: We have the right to refuse service to anyone. Meaning, you may be booted by the admin. Warnings will be given.

6. Avitars: Rules on avitars coincide with SR site rules. Max size of 500x400 pixels.

7 Tags: Also follows SR site rules. Maximum of 4 lines of tags. If you are visiting from another site, please shorten them for the duration of your visit.

8. The Domini family line is more powerful then most anything else. This comes from over a millennium of a strict breeding program and the resources available to them.

9. You may ONLY play a Domini family member with the strict consent of the room controller. You may NOT show up as a lost family member, then ask permission. If you do, then it is assumed you are lying, and your character could be killed or imprisoned.

10. Bad guys. Right now, only bad guys are NPC controlled, unless allowed by the room controller. Your character may have an evil alignment, but he still follows the empire and the rule of the emperor.

11. ABSOLUTELY NO GODMODDING! Be realistic. Your character can be damaged, possibly killed. If it happens, then create a new character or work through the damage. Role playing is about having fun, not necessarily being invincible.

12. All players wishing membership must submit either a character created by the outline proved on our character creation page, or a character sheet from anouther gaming system. If you do not know these other systems, then you should use our guildlines for determining what you may began play with.

13. Good role playing, good character development, will be rewarded. Pissing everyone else off will not be.

14. Separation of IC and OOC. Never the twain shall meet. If you don't understand this, then don't play here. If your character causes a problem, then it will be dealt with in character. Perhaps it could even spice up the role-play. If you cause a problem out of character, then it will be dealt with out of character. More then likely, a warning, followed by a boot.

15. Sparing. Here are the sparing rules that will be followed in Domini 3037.

A. All spars will began by a post of intent. Giving your characters position and weaponry. No damage actions made that post. If you don't state a weapon, you don't have it. I don't care if its on your bio, you left it at home that day.

B. Three posts, after the post of intent, per participants minimum for a kill.

C. Five actions per post split however you want. Action, defense, movement.

D. Weapons do take one action to reload. More complex weapons may require more.

E. No such thing as force posting. Even if you say "Sweeps your legs and watches you hit your ass." They can still dodge or what have you, as long as it is done correctly.

F. Personal energy shields. The cheapest do nothing more then filter out radiation. Even the best can not take an infinite amount of abuse. See the technology section for complete listing.

16. New characters, powers, and technology. I left a lot of wiggle room on purpose. I love originality. I love new ideas. They must be approved by me (the room controller) first for purposes of balance and approval, but by all means, show me what you've got!

17. If you have questions, then by all means ask. The ONLY stupid question is the one never asked.

18. Lastly, ABOVE ALL ELSE. Have fun! The biggest thing that will get you booted is causing others to stop having fun. This is meant to be a fun role playing experience for Sci-Fi fans. If we stop having fun, we might as well close the room.
