TOAL BLUNDER COSTLY FOR UNITED
STAMFORD 1
Ndekwe 38 Min

HASTINGS UNITED 0

Attendance
159

Hastings United: Will Toal, Jimmy Elford, Russell Eldridge, David Henham, Ricky Spiller, Steve Sands, Stuart Myall, Steve Ringwood, Scott Hayhoe, Mark Goodwin (Chris Honey), Carl Rook.

A Will Toal blunder after 38 minutes cost United a point against a very un-impressive Stamford.  The goal from Malcolm Ndekwe who scored for Kings Lynn against us tucked away a long ball, the ball went over the defence and Will Toal went and stopped twice, in that time Malcolm Ndekwe headed the ball over Toal and scored.

The goal was against the run of play, when United had a lot of the ball, and Scott Hayhoe was really the only one who made the Stamford keeper work for his money.  Mark Goodwin had one of the best chances but kept seeing his shots go high and wide.

United had kept Chris Honey on the bench, but he did cause some havoc when he came on but Will Toal did redeem himself a little with some good saves from the Stamford forwards.

But another defeat and now Fisher Athletic, Salisbury City, and Fleet Town at home in the week commencing 24th January.
