YESSSSSSSS!!!
Histon 1 (Cambridge 25 Min)
Hastings United 2 (Ringwood 36 Min, Skelly OG 53 Min)

Attendance 171

What a result, what have we got ourselves into, three points away from home is great, but a win at a side that has only lost once in the league until now, well well well, United pulled the stops out at Histon, and grabbed a fantastic victory, it was quite fortunate especially as United were under the cosh for many minutes of the second half.

Andrews started the flung of shots at both goals forcing Nessling into action, then Kieren Startup was sent off for a debatable fouled on Histons forward, but as last man Startup walked.  Ian Cambridge whos well known around the non-league circuit, struck a fantastic goal after 25 minutes, he received a pass from the free kick turned his man and shot into the top corner, past the helpless Nessling.  But United came back and on 36 minutes got their just reward.  Steve Ringwood flung in a corner, which deflected with the wind into the corner, to put United level.

The second half started brightly for United Goodwin chasing upfront caused problems.  Then on 53 minutes a bit of luck for United.  Russells free kick aimed at Jimmy Elford was headed on by Histons Skelly and into his own net, united 2-1 up away from home and at Histon, well not to be missed.  Histon poured forward in stages but Carl Rook and Mark Goodwin were instrumental upfront in the second half forced Histon onto the back foot, and Ryan Peters and Goodwin has chances saved by the home keeper.

But dont look anywhere else, as this was surely the shock of the season in the DME.
