Player of the season

JIMMY ELFORD
Jimmy was surely the most consistent performer throughout our season, coming in October from St Leonards he even scored when he played for the reserves in their 2-1 defeat against Ashford.  But he has made his right-back position his very own, and his contribution has caught the eye of Steve Lovell who also called him (and Russell Eldridge) the most consistent players this season.  He is becoming a class act at the club, and his role as captaincy behind the scenes has been great.  The only thing missing is goals, but you cant have everything.

Most improved player of the season

RUSSELL ELDRIDGE
Russell had been playing at County level for some years, he played some games for St Leonards last year, but was transferred on.  He was in the reserves for most of the first three months, where he was impressing in midfield, he was given his chance against Fleet and since then (4th November 2003) he hasnt missed a match, he strikes the ball very well from free kicks where he has scored twice this season.  He made some mistakes but since the arrival of Mark Green he has taught Russell to become a very good left back, hasnt shown any lack of fitness and continues to impress and improve.

Goal of the season

MITCHELL SHERWOOD V Stamford 13/3/04
He deserved the award, he has played well throughout the season, but the goal, getting past three or four strong players and how he slotted the ball home, didnt panic at all, and made sure it was in, a good goal one of the best Ive seen done by a player himself.

Reserve player of the season

GRAHAM MORRIS
I know, I know he has left the club, but in my view the only player in the reserves that couldve held down a place in the first team but now I think he realised he couldnt get in, but as captain of the reserves, he scored a few goals, and always applauded us fans that turned up every week at the Pilot Field.  A real gentleman of the game, just a shame hes gone.

Goalkeeper of the season

CHRIS MAY
For his short height, he did wonders as a keeper, outstanding handling, and could be with us next season, he smothers very well, only one mistake in his 10 games for United, and scored a good penalty against Sidley in the HSC Final. He is one for the future, but the sounds of it, it might be wasted at Brighton and not long term with us, but he can definitely go on to better things.

Defender of the season

MARK GREEN
Since Mark Green has been back in his second period with United, he has impressed heavily, but we almost lost him to Fisher or Chatham, but United offered more and thanks to Mr Walters he is still a United player, but it also sounds as he will be looking for higher football next season, maybe conference, where I believe he will fit in very well.

Midfielder of the season

STEVE RINGWOOD
Considering he has been playing in county leagues, he has improved with time, and in his matches for the reserves he impressed, and ever since his debut against Rothwell Town back in October, he has impressed me, he went off near the end of the season, but did improve his form when it mattered, has scored some good and important goals for The Us.

Striker of the season

CHRIS HONEY
I know, you think Carl Rook, but Im going on all-round play, Chris has set up numerous chances for the side, especially for Carl Rook in which he has scored many, Chris is a great lad, lets not forget he is the ONLY player to have stayed at the club from last season, he should be rewarded with that, he has been offered football at other clubs, but since coming back against Fleet back in March he has impressed massively, and has been praised by the likes of Neil Cugley, Clive Walker, and Mark Beeney.

Celebration of the season

MITCHELL SHERWOOD v Stamford 13/3/04
That Jurgen Klinsmann dive a great celebration on a season where celebrations have been surely banned by Mr Lovell, why doesnt anyone do them anymore, Chris Honeys usual turn around hug, and walk back to the centre circle, Mr Myall did a good one at Burgess Hill, but Mitchell wins by four furlongs, and the players did it with him, so 10/10 for teamwork.

Hairstyle of the season

CHRIS MAY
His highlighted hair in black and blonde caught the eye of the Tonbridge fans in our Bank Holiday match, the style streaky hair and doesnt seem to go out of position.  I hope Ryan Peters doesnt look at this; he did get my other award Manicure of the season

Team of the season

KINGS LYNN 9/10
By far the best side that Ive seen all season, just a shame that they couldnt beat Redditch in the play-offs, but their fluency in their passing, their shooting was spot on, and the defence could be shaky at times but quite stable, good enough for the championship, and considering this is one of the weakest leagues that there has been in the Eastern Division.

Programme of the season

FLEET TOWN
Although four sides got 9/10 I am giving this award to Fleet Town, what do them supporters have to go through, they let in way over three figures this season (although at one point it looked like we would let in the most).  Their programme, quite basic, but effective, clean neat layout, loads of stats and good reading to be done to completely read the programme, good paper quality, just shows that the lower sides can produce the better read.
