In the name of God, amen. I, William Carrithers of the county of Jefferson and State of Kentucky, being mindful of my mortality, while now composed and of a sane mind do hereby make this my last will and testament. First; it is my wish that of the means wherewith Divine
Providence has blessed me, after my death, all my funeral and burial expense shall be paid and all my just debts if any, of every kind, shall be paid.

Second item: Also it is my wish that my beloved wife, Sarah E. Carrithers shall have a child's part of my estate after my death of both real and personal estate, to have and to hold during her life for her support; after the death of my wife, Sarah E. Carrithers, the real and personal estate to return to my children. This will and request being in accordance with a marriage contract between my wife, Sarah E. Carrithers and myself. Also I will to my wife, Sarah E. Carrithers, all her household furniture belonging to her at the time of our marriage; also all of the stock belonging to my wife at the time of our marriage and the increase of the same.

Also it is my wish that James D. Carrithers and Robert P. Carrithers, my sons, receive nothing more of my real or personal estate until all my heirs are made equal with them. Also I hereby appoint my two sons Adam Thomas Carrithers and George F. Carrithers, executors of this my last will and testament without requiring them to give security as executors.
