One of the most amazing things about finding my biological family has been learning similarities! It is amazing to me how much I have in common with my biological mother. I spent the entire first part of my life being like nobody. Looking like no one. I hate it and it was terribly confusing to me at the time. The first person that ever looked like me, came when I was 25 years old. My second child, my daughter. She looked exactly like I did when I was born. There is no way, anyone can mistake that she is my daughter. We hear it all the time. The photos I had received up until that point of my birth mother, gave me no indication of a resemblance. It was in November 2003 that I saw first hand how much we look alike!

Then we started trading photos more and more. We came across childhood photos that resembled each other and were amazing to look at. I finally looked like I came from somewhere!
