"Me & You"

Tossing and turning, I lie awake each night.
And I think of my dreams and my hopes 'till it's light.

When the sun shines, the birds sing, it's back to the same.
A life filled with broken dreams shattered hope and pain.

I wander through each day, as if it were the last,
and even though I shouldn't I dream of the past.

When were were one, so very strong and true.
Life was so new, for me and for you.

'Till the one day when a shadow covered our sun,
and the darkness was overwhelming, and I had no one.

I was taken away, by a force so untrue,
when I cried out for you, you were calling for me too.

So I walk toward the sun, and you walk towards the moon.
I was certain somehow our hearts would meet soon.

When it started to rain, I chose a sheltered path,
and you walked through the rain with not even a laugh.

So still I am searching for the love that I once knew,
until then, just remember, 
 this world was made for me and for you.
