A Teacher's Love

June 23, 1991
To: Ron Kettering

I've never had a teacher, someone who can understand,
The guidance, and direction I crave, someone to hold my hand.
Your heart reaches out to touch my soul,
and I feel a real connection, as I begin to realize,
you're the one God sent for my immediate protection.
But, if there's a God, we have some doubts, when we've been
through it all, we're needing someone who we can always call.
I know that you are here whenever I need a friend,
Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, and always 'till the end.
our tender hugs are meaningful, you help ease the pain from
my dad,
These feelings that you understand, make me feel so sad.
I love you as my father, my teacher and my friend,
I hope that you will be there, to help me 'till the end.
I miss you when you're far away, but I'll always stay in
touch.
I love you and I care for you, I needed you so much.
A friend to help me sort through these feelings of anger and
sadness I feel.
Someone to really listen, who's concern is apparently real.
Don't ever disappear from me, because you know I'll help you
through.
The faithfulness I know we share, is everything so true.
I know the kids think you're crazy and mean, but I know
different, and I trust you just the same,
So I thank you Mr. K, that into my lonely life you came.

Thanks a million Mr. K, I love you for being my friend, and
helping me deal with this. Thank you for understanding,
caring, and for being you.

                           A former student,
                           and forever friend,
                                     Carrie
