Enter Frank and Marie from front door.

 

MARIE

Well, I just want you all to know that you can keep your plans for the seventeenth.

 

RAY

Why?  What about the wedding?  And my eyes?

 

MARIE

It seems that the whole family wasn’t invited to this wedding after all.

 

DEBRA

That’s okay Marie.  You and Frank go and have a wonderful time.

 

FRANK

I don’t think we can do that.

 

RAY

Come on Mom.  You don’t need us to go everywhere with you.  Go.

 

FRANK

Marie and I weren’t invited to this wedding.

 

ROBERT

What are you saying?  You were UN-invited?  Can people actually do that?

 

MARIE

No. No. Nothing like that.  It seems that there really is a Mary Ballrone in Lynbrook.  She called asking us to forward her cousin, Katherine’s invitation to her correct address.

 

AMY

Marie, when your Aunt Ellie’s granddaughter does get married, we’ll be more than happy to go to the wedding with you.  I promise.

 

FRANK

MARIE

DEBRA

MARIE

Aunt Ellie’s granddaughter already got married.  (Beat)  Two years ago.  I wasn’t invited.
