Auras

An aura is a colored outline, or set of contiguous outlines, emanating from the surface of an object. Auras are not to be confused with the halos of saints, which are devices of Christian iconography used to depict the radiance of light associated with divine infusion. The aura reflects a supernatural energy field or life force that permeates all things. Human auras emerge from the chakras. Under ordinary circumstances, auras are only visible to certain people with special psychic power. However, with a little bit of training, or with a special set of Aura Goggles with "pinacyanole bromide" filters (available at your local Metaphysical Shop), anyone can see auras. You may also use Kirlian photography to capture auras on film.
Many believe their are seven layers to the aura. Each layer is closely related to seven major chakras. Each layer vibrates at the frequency of the related chakra. The first layer is the smallest, extending one to three inches beyond the physical body. It grows out of the first chakra and closely follows the contour of your physical body. The second layer grows out of your second chakra, extends several inches beyond the first layer and begins to become more egg-shaped. Each successive layer will extend a little farther out. By the seventh layer, the aura can extend three to five feet beyond the body. The first layer, like the first chakra, relates to the health and security of the physical body. Since it is through the body that we manifest, the first layer also relates to manifestation. If your body is in harmony with what you want to manifest, you will get it. The second layer, like the second chakra, relates to your boundaries and emotions. The third layer relates to concrete intellect, your basic beliefs, your personal power and your understanding of yourself and others. The fourth layer relates to love and relationships in general: your relationship with yourself, your body, your loved ones, your God, and your society. From the fifth layer on, the descriptions are more abstract. The fifth layer pertains to the basic template of your inner identity, your uniqueness. Consequently, it is the layer most related to communication. The sixth layer pertains to systems of beliefs, to nonlinear intellect, group consciousness, higher forms of love, and clairvoyance. The seventh layer is your spiritual template. It contains the creative impulse for your human experiences.
I recall a particular time, when I was younger, I could see the aura. It was like a rainbow of colors illuminating off the body. Some people had very strong deep colors that spanned out a great distance from their bodies. Others had more translucent colors that stayed closer to the body.
Individual auras may differ in size, quality and color. The colors that feature most prominently in an individuals aura give an insight into that person's character, health and state of emotions.

I will list some of the different colors of the aura and give a short description on their meaning. I have discovered that there are several different views on what each color means. I have listed the meanings to the best of my knowledge.

Purple -*- Indicates a person who has a deep connection with spirit or is pursing a path of active spiritual growth. Clairvoyance, mysticism, spiritual guidance.

Blue -*- Indicates expression so when it appears in the aura you may be dealing with a teacher , someone who does public speaking, or perhaps someone who is simply self-expressed. People with a great deal of blue are often very sensitive to and supportive of others. Love, Peace and Harmony.

Turquoise -*- Indicates dynamic quality of being. Able to do many things simultaneously and are good organizers. Influential, organized, and goal oriented.

Green -*- Bright green is the color of the heart and indicates healing, or new growth. People with a great deal of green in their auras are often healers and/or counselors. They are social, and love to share. A dark clear green indicates someone who is responsible and ambitious who is likely to work for material wealth and luxury in their life. A muddied green may indicate envy.

Yellow -*- Indicates a person with intelligence who has a warm and playful, generally cheerful personality. Sometimes yellow also indicates intellectual energy.

Orange -*- Typically symbolizes a passionate, creative, or adventurous personality. Orange may also indicate sexual passion or ambition. It can also indicate self-expression, and pride.

Red -*- Indicates a passionate and energetic nature often associated with people who are courageous, entrepreneurial, or achievers. A muddied or dark red can indicate anger or aggression. Orange/red can symbolize sexual interest or passion.

Pink -*- May indicate that the person is in love, or practices deep spiritual self-love. Intuition, compassion, self-respect, and affection.

White -*- May indicate a very evolved being or may be the presence of angels or guides in the aura. Purification, enlightment, and Meditation.

Grey -*- Indicates an area of weakness, illness, or depression.

Brown -*- Indicates an earthly energy, strong connection to physical plane. It may also indicate greed or a materialistic nature.
