These were workshops that were proposed or somehow requested for the 2003 March workshop. This page was here to promote discussion and make the choices easier at the Annual Meeting. At the Annual Meeting on January 5, 2003, the projects that will be done were selected. They may be viewed at: http://www.geocities.com/gengvall/2003/bol.html.
Any discussion should take place on the CTKiters Yahoo Group.

Woven Ripstop
Kite with Scott E. Spencer

There is very limited, easy sewing. The work is in the weaving.

The participant will build an original quad line kite, loosely based on a
familiar quadline kite, with the instructor's guidance. Ron Graziano says;
"This is possibly the best flying, most well-behaved quad-line kite design
there is. It is stable, precise, and capable of all the tricks in the book.
And it's nice to look at, too."

Quad
Pyro
(delta kite with long flowing tails)
Rating: Intermediate and up.
Why is the Pyro an Intermediate project when the Delta is advanced?
The long tails of the Pyro help cancel out any mistakes in sewing the sail
by adding lots of drag to the back of the kite.
A Delta kite is either sewn right, or very, very wrong.
Turbo
Rating: Intermediate and up.
Crossdeck: Richard Bromley said there was a request to do a Crossdeck.
IMHO, if we want to do that, we ought to invite Carl Crowell, the guy who
invented it, to do the workshop.
