"We should take care not to make the intellect our god."

~ Albert Einstein

Hi there!  Welcome to my page on ADD and study tips!  This page is divided into two main sections that I will, of course, not explain.  I will leave that up to Kero.  However, I did want to explain one thing before I had the time over to my most-trusted sidekick.  If you came to this page hoping to find a detailed medical explanation as to what ADD is, you've come to the wrong place.  Of course, I'll put a little medical explanation in so you can understand exactly what ADD and ADHD is and how it affects the brain and because I just plain find it interesting.  However, when I was researching what researching, I discovered there is tons of information now on the Internet or through books on ADD now that goes into more medical information than you ever wanted to know.  So, what I want to concentrate more on in this website is the effects that ADD causes in my life such as the difficulty fitting into a "normal" classroom setting with the hopes that people will realize that ADD is not some little thing that you should just get over.  I also chose to forgo the usual medicine treatments so I would like to talk a little bit about that decision as well.  All in all, my main goal is to give a more first hand account of ADD and how I've had to adjust my study habits which, I hope will add another piece of the puzzle all the scientific evidence out there.  Now, *drum roll please*  Heeeeeeere's Kero!!

Hi hi!  And thanks for that wonderful intro Utena!

Welcome to Utena's page of ADD and study tips!!  If you came here wanting to understand a little more about ADD and learning disabilities or if you're a student wanting to get a few more study tips under your belt, you've come to the right place!  If you've come here searching for an answer of whether or not gnomes living in the carpet are scared of vacuum cleaners, however, you're in the wrong place and should immediately leave this page and go to the Are you crazy? page.

This page is divided into two sections:

  • A little info on ADD: This page contains a little info on ADD (I bet you would have never figured that out on your own), both from a medical and a personal standpoint.  There's also a couple of links including one to a ADD test if you think you or your child might be ADD, but you're not sure.

  • Study tips:  Utena would like for me to inform you that this page is not confined to those who have ADD but is for EVERYBODY out there who would like to learn a few more study tips. Most of her tips come from her college experience of now seven (yes, we know!) seven years.  Utena would like for me to please ask you not to read this page because you're thinking, well, obviously these tips don't work if she's been in college for seven years.  Her being in college this longer is solely the result of attempting to major in everything.

Any questions?  Anybody??

Well, okay, then, click on one of the links above to get started!!

I'd rather watch paint dry
