Introduction

Information communication technology (ICT) is an exciting part of the educational enviroment. However there are many issues associated with successfully implementing ICT into the learning enviroment. As training teachers it is our responsibility to ensure that we utilise ICT effectively within our learning areas.

Within the English learning area ICT can provide a number of positive benefits for both teachers and students. Examinations of use of ICT in learning areas, case studies, provide good examples of how schools have successfully integrated ICT into the learning enviroment.

Belconnen High School's successful trial of Grouputer is evidence of the success of ICT as a tool within the learning area of English.

This site investigates the utilisation of Grouputer to enhance teacher effectiveness within the learning area and how this focus of ICT can enhance the overall school effectiveness in achieving student outcomes.
