| Clay Tests |
| One of the identifying characteristics of the pottery found at Pine Hill is the clay that is used. On our property a clay body has been discovered that effectively fires to 2291*F. These tests represent 11 different combinations of the local clay and various other clays/materials in an attempt to improve (benefication) the heat tolerance and glaze performance of the clay body. |
