The Gist of It: A weird looking man is running through the streets of what seems like Venice in the middle of the night, he's being chased by something. As he runs a pole starts to bend and he mutters "Magneto". As he keeps running poles and metalic objects around him continually bar his path. He jumps over a ledge about 10 feet down to a lower level, and runs until a metal gate which closes in his face. Magneto catches up with him and he attempts to create illusions, Magneto tells him they won't work and reveals his name which is Mastermind. Mastermind asks what Magneto wants with him, Magneto replies he has a job for him.

On a New York bridge, people are crossing it slowly and honking their horns due to traffic. The camera zooms in on a specific cab driver honking and yelling with Wanda in the back seat. The driver notices a fire at the top of the bridge, elevated about 60 feet in the air. Everyone starts noticing it as it explodes into a much larger fire, in the shape of four wild horses on their hind legs. The top of a fuel truck catches fire and everyone starts running for their lives, except Wanda. She looks up and sees Pyro on top of the bridge near the fire.

At Bayville High Kurt and Amanda are talking about Kurt meeting her parents. He reluctantly agrees after telling her his image inducer has been unreliable lately. She turns it off and tells him she wants them to meet the real him anyway, he hides behind a tree afraid someone might see him and reactivates it. Toad sees this whole thing from an alley and hops off. They notice an explosion at the bridge.

Jean and Scott are driving and they notice it too, they race off towards the bridge.

Wanda is out of the car and hex bolts Pyro, who jumps to a support cable and drops a keychain looking thing, then climbs back up onto a bar. Wanda picks it up and Pyro shoots fire at the gas truck, making it explode knocking her off the bridge. She grabs on to the side and holds on. Total mayhem is going on now, support cables are giving out and cars are falling off the side of the bridge. A bunch of debrees is falling down but Scott blasts it and Jean uses telekinesis to hold it up. Storm comes and rains out the fire. Wanda is pulling herself up and Jean helps pull her up. Jean asks if she's alright and they chat a little bit, Scott asks if that was Pyro after her, she says yes and tells them he was delivering a message for her. Magneto wants her to stop looking for him and Pietro. Jean tells her Pietro isn't hiding, he's back with the Brotherhood and Wanda runs off.

In the Brotherhood house, Pietro is relaxing on the couch as Fred brings him a sandwich with milk. Pietro looks at it and tells Fred how he screwed up, got his order all wrong. Fred looks unhappy and takes it back to the kitchen. The reception on the television degrades and Pietro yells up to Todd to adjust the antenna. Todd adjusts it but it's very close to the edge of the roof, almost toppling over it. Lance walks in the front door and Pietro asks if the transmission is fixed yet, Lance says "yeah I'm done alright". Pietro tells Lance if he wants to be a member of his team he has to look more presentable, then asks him to move an arm chair. Lance says gladly, and uses and earthquake to hurl it at Pietro. Pietro ducks just in time and it flys through the window behind him. Lance tells him he's tired of taking orders from him, Todd and Fred join him, Fred tells Pietro he's tired of doing his cooking and throws the plate to the floor, then storms off. Pietro does the whole "Magneto put me in charge bit". He compliments himself on being "strong, decisive and fearless". At that moment he notices Wanda outside. He runs off and hides in a closet, tells them not to tell her he's home. Wanda comes in the front door and Toad greets her, calling her babycakes. She pushes him down. She asks "where is he?". Todd tells her he's in the closet. She hex bolts the door off and asks Pietro what the keychain type thing Pyro dropped is. He doesn't know but Todd does, it's something with the ski resort. She walks towards the front door, obviously going to the ski resort. Toad follows and asks what he has to be to earn her love, she says "someone else" and hex bolts him. This gives Todd an idea.

Kurt shows up at the front door of Amanda's holding flowers. She tells him he's early and he tries to leave, she stops him though. She tells him to come in and meet her parents. She introduces Kurt to them, it's obvious he's nervous. He nervously talks to them a little and gives Amanda's mom the flowers. She goes off to the kitchen to put it in a vase, her dad goes into the kitchen to get drinks. He's afraid they don't like him but she tells him to relax. His inducer turns off just as he does so. Amanda's dad starts coming into the room and Kurt teleports away just in time, into the kitchen. His inducer works again before she sees him blue and fuzzy. It starts to go out, but he teleports away into the living room and fixes it. Amanda's mom is startled again by seeing him here. They go to dinner. After dinner Kurt is doing the dishes as Amanda praises him for being such a perfect guy. At that moment Toad jumps in through the window and attacks Kurt. They wrestle around a bunch and Toad grabs his image inducer several times, Kurt manages to get it back. They wrestle around the house nearly destroying everything, Kurt saves "grandmother's vase" from falling to the floor and breaking in the process. Toad keeps trying to steal the inducer. Kurt finally kicks Toad out the window to reveal to Amanda's parents being blue and fuzzy.

At the ski resort Wanda is riding a lift. As she's sitting there a guy comes up and starts talking to her in a friendly manner, he smiles and reveals yellow teeth to her. This makes her come to the conclusion it's Toad, and hex bolts him out of the lift. She reaches the destination and starts walking off, but a breeze knocks her scarf and makes it fly away. A guy comes up and says "I'll get it" and starts hopping towards it. Wanda hex bolts him too after saying "TOAD!". Pyro rides the ski lift and Wanda follows. A guy joins her in the seat and starts talking to her, about how beautiful it is out and telling her he's the ski instructor. She interrupts the conversation saying she has to go, she spots Pyro snowboarding down the mountain. As she boards off the "ski instructor" attempts to pursue her and falls, then reveals it's Toad after all. She doesn't see. She chases Pyro but after a while of chase, a floating orb flys over to her shooting knockout gas making her unconcience. Toad sees this and gets worried about her.

Kurt is in his room looking at a picture of Amanda and him until Toad hops in through the window. Kurt tells Toad how he ruined his life, and then yells at him to give back his inducer. Toad hops around avoiding him and they wrestle around a bit. Toad tells Kurt he needs a favor as they wrestle. He says he'll give back his inducer after Kurt helps him with his favor.

At Magneto's headquarters, Magneto approaches Wanda to talk. She's restrained in a chair with metal barriers concealing her hands. Magneto tells her it was the hardest thing he ever had to do, leaving her in the hospital. Wanda says he only thought about himself, she was just another thing in his path. Magneto reveals his plan now, he's going to have Mastermind alter her memories. Mastermind enters the room at that time and gets to work. He alters her memory of being taken into the hospital to her on a merry-go-round with him and Pietro. He alters her being fed through a hole in the door at the insane asylum to them on a picnic. He alters their fight when the sentinal is present to her watching fireworks, then he comes over and puts his arm around her.

Toad and Kurt are outside the headquarters. They're about to go in when Toad gives him the inducer, revealing he had it the whole time. Kurt just starts going off back to the institute before Toad opens up and tells him he just wants to look good for Wanda. Kurt says he'll do the favor and teleports them in.

They sneak past Colossus moving boxes and go to save Wanda. Mastermind senses them and tells Magneto he has intruders. Toad struggles to take the harness off but Kurt teleports her out of the chair and Toad picks her up holding her. Kurt teleports them out just as Magneto and crew show up. Magneto tells them to hold off chasing, and asks Mastermind if he finished the job. Mastermind replies he did.

At the ski lodge Toad is still holding Wanda, Kurt tells him he can put her down now. Toad replies in a minute he will. She wakes up to see the image induced Toad's face and he goes to kiss her, the inducer goes out at the time to reveal him. Wanda pushes him off and looks pretty pissed. Kurt explains to her that he did put his life on the line for her, she stares for a couple of seconds and then sincerely thanks him for his actions. He smiles on the floor and then grabs a fly out of the air with his tongue, sickening her out and she walks away.

At the top of a hill Amanda is talking to Kurt, she tells him she's not giving up on their relationship from what happened at her house.

Toad and Wanda are talking in the living room, she seems to be organizing CD's. Toad is confused on why she isn't mad at Magneto anymore, she replies she doesn't know why she was in the first place, it's all a blur. Toad is about to tell her what Mastermind did before Pietro runs him into the kitchen and talks. Pietro tells him how if he reminds her, she will be out looking for Magneto again. If she isn't mad, she's closer to him more often. This changes Toad's mind about telling her, and he hops off to join again. Toad also says if she could get over hating her father, there's hope for him yet. The T-O-A-D music plays as the episode ends.
