Episode 8: Spykecam
Introducing: No one
The Gist of It: Evan gets an assignment to make a video about his life, and so he
does so (but really only ends up annoying everybody in the process). Meanwhile,
Sabretooth is trying to figure out where Logan is, and then finds out after stealing Evan's
camera and watching a clip of Logan going into the Institute. A lot of stuff happens.
Todd tries to get put in the video by showing off his moves, but Evan's a complete jackass
(and Todd wasn't even being bad or evil or mean or anything!) and blows him off. Then,
Sabretooth attacks the Institute. Then he attacks again, but is stopped by Rogue and stuff
and... okay, I wasn't paying too much attention to this episode, as I was waiting to go see
"Atlantis" (such a cute movie!) at the moment.
Brotherhood Moments: Todd tries to impress Evan by showing off his moves,
but is more or less ignored.
Episode Highlights: Todd! Todd was the best thing about this episode, which
had no other redeeming qualities. Well, nevermind, I did like all of the Kitty and Rogue
scenes, I guess. They were amusing.
My Opinion on the Episode: This episode was a complete and total waste of my
time. I regret subjecting myself to watching it. Hmm, "Quills" is playing in the living
room of my house and currently I find that more interesting than writing about this
episode which is so chock-full of Evan. Wow, Joaquin Phoenix is purty! Ahem, anyway!
This episode, somehow, managed to defeat "Mutant Crush" and "The Cauldron: Part 1 &
2" as my least favorite. I still don't like Evan, and I probably never will, which is rather
odd, because I didn't mind him in "Speed and Spyke" (the first time I saw it). I hate my
EvanSim, but now he's dead, heh heh heh.
Um... there's not much for me to say about this episode, since I blocked most of it from
my memory (hence the lame, half-assed summary above). The thing that bothered me the
most about "Spykecam" is this: The way Evan treated Todd. What the fuck is up with the
X-Men?! Todd wasn't provoking him or anything; I thought he was actually being nice, so
what right does Evan have to treat the guy like he's nothing just because they're on
different teams?! Man, those X-Men need to get off their pedestals.
Narration Time!
Rating: From a scale of 1-5, this episode gets a 1. I don't even want to come up
with anything else to say about it, it just gets a 1. Yo. (Rosiel: There, because I added
that "yo" that automatically makes the narration sound Toddable. :D)
