Episode 17: Fun and Games

Introducing: Arcade and Mystique's latest look

The Gist of It: Ohh God. I can't remember most of this episode! And I don't wanna re-watch it! Basically, it opens in Juggy's Happy Prison Home, where the guard people seem to be having problems with his security. So, who do they call? Ghostbusters!! I mean... Professor X! So, the Prof leaves, telling Jean and Scott that they're in charge because for plot convenience, Wolverine and Storm have vaporized-- er, I mean, they're away. So, Scott's all like "Who's up for a Danger Room run? It'll be fun!! Come on, guys!" but no one seems to enjoy the idea as much as he does. ;P Poor Scott!

Uh... Next scene is (I THINK) Scott and Taryn at school, with stupid ho bag bitch Jean spying on them. Taryn's all flirty and "Lemme see those eyes of yours, Scott" while Scott's all "Uh... that's not a good idea" while Jean's like "Grr! I'm allowed to flirt with Duncan all I want, but Scott's supposed to be captivated by ME! He's not allowed to acknowledge the existence of other girls or have a social life than extends beyong ME! Even if I do blow him off for Duncan all the time!" Anyway, Taryn walks off and Scott bumps into Jean. He finds her spying amusing, but she becomes bitchy and snippity towards him and stomps off. Uhh, yeah. And then we see Kitty in her computer class and she.. uh... crashed three computers. ^^;; Blah. At the other end of the room, a geeky redhead boy who calls himself Arcade (HAHA! Rosiel is the X-Men goddess bitch!) is playing a game on the computer and going like "WHOO! I am the video game god!!" while Risty hangs over his shoulder with interest. Yep.

After class, Risty talks to Kitty, strongly hinting that the X-Geeks should throw a party at the mansion whilst Xavier is away. Yeah! And... uh... so, Kitty tells the others (sans Scott and Jean) the plans and they're like "Yes! Party!" and... decide to find a way to dispose of Scott and Jean, as they know that the two will have a corony at the thought of a party thrown at the mansion.

So. Scott's standing at a prime make-out spot, and Jean's dropped off there by Duncan. She's like "You called me here to do dirty things to me because everything revolves around how much everyone loves me!" and he's like "What the hell are you talking about, bitch?" (okay, not really...) They bicker a little, all the while oblivious to Kitty and Kurt stealing their cell phone and car keys. Thus, they're stranded.

And so the kiddies throw a party. We see a bunch of kids dancing around the mansion and Bobby has a line! He says "Whoa!" and.... yeah! Bobby! I think they're gonna hook him up with Jubilee O.o;; Anywho! Risty shows Arcade around the place and "accidentally" stumble across the door leading to Cerebro. Arcade's like "Nifty-keen! *geeky laughter* I'm gonna hack into the system and see what's inside that room!" And so... they do. And they find Cerebro. And he sets it to read him as the owner rather than Xavier, so it does stuff, pops up profiles of the new mutants and... Risty has this "Ehehehe! I'm subtlely evil! I bet you didn't know I'm a villain!" look on her face as Arcade's like "Wow! Cool game!" Ever so... er, subtlely, Risty asks him to burn her a copy of the "game", which he does, and so she promptly gets this look on her face like she just stumbled upon some great treasure, and runs off, leaving him to screw around with it.

Arcade finds "Danger Room" as one of the options and thinks it's a game. So, he sets it up to do wonky things and the X-Geeks stumble upon it.

Big fight scenes ensue afterwards. And the party guests are stupidly oblivious. After a while, Cerebro sets the mansion on "Def Con 4", so it promptly locks all of the people in the house (though they don't seem to be aware of it) and goes on crazy "Shoot and destroy EVERYTHING!! AHAHHAA!!" mode. Scott and Jean pick this moment to arrive back at the Institute, so they're promptly attacked by the Institute's defenses. Big explody shit happens. Risty's running around and gets... uh... I don't really remember what happens, but she like runs into a wall and falls unconscious, revealing that she's *gasp* Mystique in a revealing black leather skank outfit. ;P Luckily, Mystique's no longer a scaly she-man! YAY!!! In fact, she seems to look prettier than she did before the Asteroid M incident, which is nifty.

Uhh... Yeah. Oh yeah! While all of this is going on, the Professor's helping the Prison Guard Guys keep the security on Juggernaut's tube-cell up. Yep. Back at the ranch-- uh, mansion, the X-Men fight the defenses. Biff bang bam! And a lot more explody shit happens, and they finally make their way into the room for Cerebro, and Rogue quickly touches Arcade to knock him out.

After the party, everyone's like "Whee! That was fun!" because they were totally unaware of all the big explosions and being locked in stuff and... so... everything's more or less back to normal. Xavier comes back and wipes Arcade's memory so that he thinks everything was one big computer game (er? But then.... he thought it was a game the whole time, so wasn't that a little unnecessary? Oh well!). So, Arcade leaves and the X-Men are like "Man, now we gotta clean up the mess!" and Scott takes the blame even though NONE OF IT was his fault... uh... Yeah. And Professor X is like "Well, it's not ALL your fault. Somebody planned this..." in his dramatic voice and... yeah... so we see a shot of Mystique walking away with the CD Arcade burned, and she looks oddly vampiric and... and... turns into Risty. Fin.

Brotherhood Moments: .... They weren't even in the BACKGROUND. They were NO WHERE!! But we see Mystique and... and... she looks HOT! O.o;;

My Opinion: Gaaah. I did NOT like this episode much at all. Of course, I will say this: I WAS RIGHT! HAHAHAAA! to everyone who told me I was wrong when I said Arcade would be the villain! HA! I say again! "Oh, he's not a big enough X-Men villain to be introduced, stupid Rosiel! They said that the villain would be 'well-known'!" Arcade IS well-known and I was RIGHT! Please allow me this shallow victory, people, because the only time I even showed any emotion other than boredom during this episode was when they showed Arcade and I shouted "AHA!" Yes.

Uh... the Mystique thing kinda pissed me off, even if I'm glad that she's back to looking hot and not like a she-male. Of course, I wasn't surprised because before the episode I was talking to Gale and she told me her theory on Risty and I was like "Hmm... I don't want that to happen, but it's plausible. In fact... Oh, God, that's gonna happen... DAMN IT!" I'm glad Mystique's back and all because 1) I like her ;P and 2) Maybe she'll go back to the BH and be like "AAAH!! Who the fuck're you?!" to Boom Boom and hopefully kill the girl or at least chase her off. That'd make me happy. :D But, I'm mad because of this:

Risty reminded me of ME! >.< AARGH!! She dressed pretty much like me, her attitude (what we SEE of it, anyway >.>) was like mine (uh... my offline personality ;P) and... and... my hair was like hers (only dark brown with red sreaks instead of the purple with light purple ;P) before I cut it all off the day this episode aired! >.< It figures the only character that reminded me of me turned out to be a villain O.o;

Oh well. All in all, I didn't really care for this episode. I'm not one for "WHOO! Explosions!! COOL!" I'm more like "Wow... I want to hit the fast-forward button but I can't because I need to write a review of this episode..."

Rating (out of 5): Uh... 3. And it's ONLY getting a 3 because of Mystique and the fact that I was right about Arcade ;P

BH Babble:

: Where is everybody?
: Um... *looks around* I don't know!
: It's so quiet here!
: And... and... yeah! Uh... maybe they're hiding!
: *thwaps John* Don't be stupid.
: Oww... >_o
: ... *twiddles her thumbs* This is unnerving.
: I feel so alone!
