5th Army Corps
West Point Military Academy

RULES:

The reason for the existence of the GAR's West Point Military Academy is twofold: 1) to ensure that newcomers to one-on-one or multi-player gaming vs. on-line opponents will be assisted in learning the rudimentary technical knowledge needed to join in the team's activities (specifically, defeating Confederate opponents at Gettysburg!) as well as learning how to develop and implement a battle plan; and 2) as a test of loyality and commitment to GAR. Graduates of West Point will be given the rank of 2nd Lt. and be assigned to a Corps and may then contact Rebels and engage in "sanctioned" game play, WPA members can still fight battles against other opponents while being in training.

Code of Regulations

-ONLY 3 recruits per Corps at the same time. Division commanders can recruit but they can't give names or other promises. Only give information about GAR and give Corps Commander's email address so the recruit can mail. Or Division commanders can give names but need good communication his Corps Commander.

-All WPA must adhere to the GAR Rules of Conduct

-NO WPA commander. Every Corps must have at least one officer who takes care of cadets. After two weeks that same person gives the final test, gives real name for the cadet, and email's his rank, name and email address to the Corps Commander
