09/21/03: WPA Sweitzer has graduated the Academy. He is now 2nd Lieut. Jacob B. Sweitzer. Congrats Sir!

05/25/03: GAR Crawford has been awarded the Soldier's Medal. Congrats!
03/23/03: GAR Barnes has returned from inactive status and has been transferred to command of 1st Division.
03/10/03: GAR McCandless has been promoted to command of 3rd Division and is now GAR Crawford. Congrats Sir.
06/08/02: WPA 5-41 has graduated the Academy. He has transfer to III Corps and is now 2nd Lieut. Charles K. Graham.
05/24/02: GAR Norton has been promoted to Brigade Command and is now GAR Abram Duryee. WPA 5-40 has graduated the Academy and is now 2nd Lieut. Charles E. Hazlett. Congrats to both officers. V Corps has a new recruit, WPA 5-41. Welcome him when you see him.

02/09/02: Cadet 5-32 has graduated the Academy and is now 2nd Lieut. J. Carr, assigned to III Corps.

02/04/02: We have another new Cadet, 5-34. Welcome him to GAR when you see him. The Report link now works again, please use it.
02/02/02: GAR Gibbs has been promoted to Chief of Artillery. GAR Talley has been promoted to the rank of Colonel and also to the command of 2nd Division. He is now GAR Ayres. Congrats to both officers!
02/01/02: Cadet 5-31 has graduated the Academy and is now 2nd Lieut. J. McIntosh. We have a new cadet, 5-33, Welcome him to GAR.
*August*- Over the next two weeks some changes will be made to our site. Some will involve cosmetic changes to existing pages and some will involve creation of new pages that I am working on. All Corps members will be receiving a newsletter explaining the changes and new additions.
GAR Gibbs has been promoted to 1st Lieut.
The new "Decorations" page is now up. Several officers have received medals which were long overdue. Check it out.
More changes to our site have now been completed. We now have a "Corps News" page which I think looks cool. More changes are on the way.
WPA 1-01 has graduated the academy. He is now 2d Lieut. M.F. Watson and assigned to Artillery at his request.
GAR Gibbs has been promoted to the rank of Captain. The new "Links" page is now finished - check it out, especially the Gettysburg section. GAR Gibbs has again been promoted, this time to Major.
V Corps has two new cadets: WPA 5-24 and WPA 5-25. Welcome them to GAR when you see them. Our "submit reports" link now works again, please use it instead of email. GAR Martin has been awarded the Bronze Star for his actions on the battlefield. He has also been promoted to Lieut Gen. Congrats. Sir
We have another new cadet, WPA 5-26. Welcome him to GAR. Also, we now have a "Guestbook". It is located at the bottom of our homepage.
*September*- WPA 5-24 has graduated the academy and is now 2d Lieut. H. Day. He is a brigade commander in 2d Div. More minor changes have been made to our site, and we now have a new recruit application on our homepage.
GAR McCandless has been promoted to 1st Lieut. Congrats sir. WPA 5-25 has graduated the academy and is now 2d Lieut. J. Chamberlain. He is a regimental commander in 1st Div. GAR Barnes is appointed to 3rd Div. Commander. GAR Talley is promoted from regimental to brigade Commander.
GAR McCandless has been awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
GAR Barnes has been awarded the Bronze Star for his heroic actions in a recent mutltiplayer battle.
WPA 5-26 has graduated the Academy. He is now 2d Lieut. C.E. Hazlett and assigned to Artillery.
*October*- V Corps has a new Cadet, WPA 5-28. Welcome him to GAR when you see him.
Thanks to GAR Kane we now have a "Members Only Forum" page. The link on our main page will take you to several Forums, including one for the V corps. These Forums are password protected and can only be viewed by GAR members. The Forums can be used to post comments, greetings, news etc. I would suggest that Corps members check the forums regularly as you did with the old intranet.
WPA 5-28 has transfered to XII Corps. He has graduated the Academy and is now GAR Lockwood.

*November*- We now have some new music on several pages on our site. Hope you like it. GAR Day returned online last nite-was great to see him

Cadet 5-29 has graduated the academy and is now 2d Lt. B.F. Rittenhouse. He is assigned to Artillery at his request.
GAR Martin has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. GAR Barnes has been awarded the Achievement Medal. Both medals are awarded for longstanding regular and continous service to V Corps. Congrats Sirs.
GAR Sykes has returned to active duty. He will assume his old command of V Corps. Welcome back!
*December*- Gen. Sykes is working on a "Photographs" page for our site. The page will have photos and a short bio for each active officer in V Corps. NOTICE- To conserve space, Corps news older than 6 months will be removed from this page.
GAR Barnes has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier Gen. He will continue as 3rd Div. Commander under the name of Samuel W. Crawford. Congrats Sir!
