An Introduction

It is highly probable that you're wondering how anyone could conceive a playable game from such a complete film. If you've seen it (and you surely have, else you wouldn't be here, let alone have any business being here to begin with), you'll notice that the story is tightly woven and seamless. Maybe even the slightest bit confusing.

But you've been proven wrong (about there ever being a game), haven't you?

In love with the movie (and terribly bored) as the Game Administrator is, she (the GA) has successfully (though not without trouble!) found a way to create not just a role-playing game based upon the movie, but a journal RPG.

The basis of any journal RPG is, other than the work it was inspired by/from, the concept of AU, or alternate universe. Usually, an AU setting pulls out facts, places, occurrences, and, most importantly, characters from the canon and organizes them in such a way that they mirror their place of origin but do not limit playability.

In a journal RPG, interactions are done via instant messaging services or email. The players the post in the characters' journals, as the characters, describing what happened and their thoughts on the events. Examples of such games are linked to in Credits.

You will see throughout the site how the game is similar to and different from the movie.
