You will sometimes be entrusted with confidential company information such as forthcoming promotions. Please respect your privileged position and do not disclose information which could undermine our reputation or commercial position.
Don't be tricked into talking to journalists, or anyone who asks untoward questions about the company. Refer them to your manager or the communications team.
You, or your property may be searched from time to time while on company premises. This is normal practice and does not mean you are under suspicion.
All searches will be carried out discreetly and you can be accompanied by a colleague.
We provide a locker but cannot accept liability if your property is lost or damaged. Therefore, it's best not to bring valuable belongings to work. If you have to do so, ask your manager about security arrangements. Report any losses to your manager immediately.
If your job involves handling cash, you must not take any cash, credit cards, debit cards or staff discounts cards into the work area. Please don't take personal property into the work area.
Unauthorized use of computer facilities could lead to disciplinary or criminal proceedings.
To be on the safe side, always follow these simple rules:
Shoplifting costs Prêt a manger thousands of pounds a year, money which could be used in much better ways. If you become aware of anyone that is or may be shoplifting, do not approach the person yourself, please report your suspicions immediately to your manager and the security staff.
