If you have any queries about your pay or your pay slip, your manager will be able to help.

Weekly Pay

This is paid one week in arrears, normally on Friday. It is our preference for it to be paid directly into a bank or building society as this is much safer, if you are paid in cash, please always check your money immediately, as we are unable to correct mistakes later.

Four - weekly pay

This is paid into your bank or building society at the end of each four week accounting period. The pay slip is sent to your store.

Other details

• You can arrange for someone else to collect your pay if you give them written authorization. They may be asked for identification, or refused if we are not satisfied that they are authorized by you.
• If we overpay you, you will be asked to repay the amount, paid in error.

Tax queries

There may be times you need information about your tax affairs, for instance, if you get married, or if you have another part-time job. If so, please contact

You'll need to quote reference number LPN13 908 / A4 add your national insurance number which will appear on your pay slip.

Overtime payments

Sometimes it is necessary to work extra hours to meet the needs of the business.

• When you have worked more than 39 hours in a set week you will be paid overtime rates for any additional hours. The first 39 hours are at your normal rate of pay.
• All employees are eligible for paid overtime; your manager must authorize the overtime in advance and let you know what the appropriate rates are.

Premium Payments

These are paid in addition to your normal rates of pay. Your manager will provide details.

• If you agree to work on a Sunday or a customary holiday, you will receive premium payments or time off in lieu, whichever you prefer and agree with your line manager.
• Your manager will tell you if you are also eligible for 'unsocial hours' payments.
