What about people

Wish List
World Hunger
Over 20,000 people worldwide die of hunger every day. That's one human life extinguished every five seconds. And we in the U.S. use about 70% of our grain harvest to fatten up livestock. Funneling crops through billions of animals each year is a very inefficient (and unhealthy) way to feed people. If we lessened or stopped our meat consumption, then the number of animals in agriculture wouldn't be kept artificially high, and more crops would be available as healthy food for humans.
Human Health
Animal products are unhealthy for people. Meat, dairy and egg consumption contributes to high rates of diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, clogged arteries, cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, etc. These diseases are largely preventable. Diets high in animal products slowly contribute to human suffering by causing serious health problems. Some people say it's hard to become vegetarian, but think about how hard it is to have heart surgery or to be on prescription medications for life.
