Circle of 100 Friends

Dear Friend of the Animals,

I hope you have read our previous newsletter with the plea
for supporting our recent educational efforts. Please understand the urgency of our request to continue to employ Nikki
Benoit as Florida Voices for Animals (FVA) Outreach Coordinator.

Nikki was hired for a 6 month contract which began in
March 2008. Only through your support and donations can we justify extending this contract.

A recent Vegan Outreach agreement allowed us to keep her employed until mid October, and donations have extended this
until the end of November.

Since hiring Nikki, FVA has initiated
an incredible campaign to organize our volunteer base into more activism to educate our community.

Committees have been
formed and are actively meeting to expand our educational prominence in the community. Nikki has coordinated and facilitated an impressive number of volunteers,
organized a volunteer appreciation picnic, spends countless
hours at the local colleges distributing animal rights and
vegetarian promotion literature, gives presentations to college
classes, handles all phone messages, does media interviews,
and coordinates numerous tabling events.

Our plan is to make at least a 3 year commitment to continuing
these current campaigns spearheaded by Nikki. In order
to accomplish this goal we need $100,000. To this end we
have created the Circle of Friends campaign. If 100 people
donate $1000 each we will reach our goal. But any amount
is helpful. To put it another way, if 1000 people donate $100
each, we would accomplish the same goal. No amount is too
small. Any amount will help the animals. For each $2600 we
receive, we can extend our campaign an additional
month. If you, like me, want these wonderful campaigns to
continue and grow to help educate our community and reduce
animal suffering, please show us your support by making
a donation earmarked to education campaign.

A recent donor made a $1750 donation to FVA, after researching
through our newsletter archives and seeing for herself how
much we have accomplished on our budget and how well we
have invested our money. I promise you that we are very
frugal when it comes to our expenses and that every dollar
donated is appreciated and used very carefully to benefit
animals. We do much more than education; we help local
causes, including other local groups, activists and sanctuaries.
We have rescued many animals, including some farm
animals who we have taken to sanctuaries and continue to
help with their care. We have helped Katrina animal victims,
spay neuter campaigns, legislative efforts, rewards for cruelty
cases, volunteering at sanctuaries and more.

We know the economy is troubled and we all have our commitments,
but I hope you can find a way to support the issues
that matter to your heart. Helping the innocent nonhuman
animals who suffer at human hands is a real need in
our community.

For the animals, I am extremely humbled and grateful,

Myriam Parham, President
