Drag Racing '64 Sedan out at Rock Falls Dragway, Rock Falls, Wisconsin.  This Blue '64 sedan was the first car I modified the engine on and learned about terms like: Valve spring coil bind, screw in rocker arm studs & guide plates the hard way, many broken parts!
Drag Racing 1964 Futura hardtop, This car ran  consistent  15.23  1/4 mile times @ 93mph  with a stock engine, 4spd,  Holley single plain manifold and 600cfm vacuum secondary carb,  Cyclone Headers and 3.50 rear axle gears and still got 19 miles per gallon on the highway!  I later rebuilt the engine  added heads with screw in rockerarm studs, 1.90 intake valves 1.64 exhaust, 1.6 ratio roller rocker arms and a  Comp Cam solid lifter cam wiith .528 lift and  282 duration, Milage droped to 10-12mpg,  I wish I could have got a chance to race it again  at the dragstrip because   it was pretty quick!  It Idled around 900rpm and  had a full length dual exhaust but my Dad said he could still hear it a few  blocks away.  The Car Was Very HOT and LOUD inside  with no sound deadner and I recieved many speeding tickets with it, this is one of the funnest cars I have ever owned and some day I would like to get another one like it.
