Because this car was originally a six cylinder car, the spindles, brakes. tie rod ends, drag link, pitman and Idler arm and steering box all have to be removed and chaged to the larger and heavier duty V8 componants |

V8 front spindles machined areas were masked off with aluminum duct tape and sand blasted, the duct tape resists the abration of the blast media thenpainted & primed using Eastwoods Encapsulator & Cast Gray Coatings |

The old 6 cylinder front suspension had smaller 1" steering sector shaft, 4 lug 9" brake drums, smaller tie rods, spindles and springs and no front stablizer bar. |

| Here is the detailed Upper & Lower Control Arms and spindle. The drum brake backing plates are Chassis Black. The upper control arm bushing nuts & shaft were painted Cast Gray. The shock asorber & coil springs are painted Chassis Black , Ford color marked the springs for different options , the marks on my springs were pink denoting a V8, automatic transmission. |
