Dreamcast (sega) Release - out now Price - £150, one controller, no games. (unofficialy you can get it with one game and controller for just £100) Star Games - Soul Calibur, Res Evil: Code Veronica, Crazy Taxi, Dead or Alive 2, Chu Chu Rocket. Future Games - Quake III arena, Half life Advantages - Out now, cheap, free Chu Chu Rocket! Disadvantages - Relises to much on fighting games, no-one wants to know about the Dreamcast, sega may die soon, unfortunately. Loading... Gamecube (nintendo) Release - 2002 Price -£150 $150 Future Games - Zelda, Lylat Wars, Mario, Perfect Dark, Turok, Pokemon, Austin Powers, ridge racer, shadow man, (final fantasy?) Advantages - Shigeru Miyamoto, rare, games promised to be £20 pound cheaper, getting freindly with capcom... Disadvantages - Not out for a while yet, possibly to kiddy, but unlikely Loading... Playstation 2 (sony) Release - around september Price - £300 $300 Future games - Tekken, Tomb Raider, Ridge racer, Shadow man, Metal gear solid, res evil games. Advantages - out now, uses the same pad, includes a DVD player... Disadvantages -but the DVD player is more than a little bit dodgey, costs loads, only 2 players, ridiculous pre order scheme looks like an electric heater, has a hard drive which means eventualy you'll have to uninstall a game to play a new one, and it has multitaps and hard drives, and modems and stuff sticking out of it so it looks even worse. Loading... X-box (microsoft) Release - 2001 Price - ? Future games - although this is unknown, Microsoft do make great games themselves, and have signed up loads of exclusive developers. Advantages - enough money to make an impressive console and advertise it, loads of exclusive developers. Disadvantages - could be plagued by microsoft symbols, which would make it "not street cred", or something. |
