Ever since I was young, my father has instilled in me a deep and abiding passion for music. Even though I was in the band it was rare that I enjoyed playing music half as much as I loved listening to it. The universal appeal of music is amazing to me, the way I can relate to the lyrics of a song even though the person who wrote them was worlds away, and maybe never in my situation. "Ain't it funny how a melody can bring back a memory, take you to another place in time, and even change your state of mind...."
I will listen to anything, and I mean anything. I love music for the way it makes me feel, not because it belongs to any specific genre. Thanks to my dad I was introduced to classic rock bands like The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Guess Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Bee Gees (and I mean old really cool Bee Gees stuff, before they went disco). As I grew older I got into Pearl Jam, Collective Soul, Dave Matthews Band, Alana Davis, Robbie Williams, and some other stuff - rap and hip hop.
And yes, I like boy bands. Quit your moanin and groanin, I told you I listened to everything. Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Hanson (whom I totally respect for writing their own stuff and playin their own instruments). I'm not a huge fan of Britney Spears or Christena Aguilera (is that even how you spell her name?) but I do like a couple of their songs.
I also love country. Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, SheDaisy, Terri Clark, Dixie Chicks, and so many more. If you like country and bluegrass, Galax is the home of the world's biggest and oldest Fiddler's Convention - it is held in Felt's Park every summer during the second week of August. People come from everywhere to listen and compete, I try to go a few nights every year, its a really cool festival.

If you're looking for some sounds, I don't have any for you to download from my page. But, I may be able to help you find some on the net, or at least some interesting sites that have to do with music.
I used to think that midis had to be the most retarded things in the world, however, as you click through my website you can tell that I have changed my mind. If you have a really good sound card, midis can actually be really cool. If you want to find some you can look at The Midi Mirage, or The Midi Vault. You can also try the Midi Collection Mainpage, and look here for Country Midis.
I'm sure that almost all of you know if you want to see the official website of your favorite band, all you have to do is type in www.insert-band-name-here.com, and you got it, right? I used to have links to a lot of unofficial sites, but for the most part those URLs don't work any more. However, if you want to see some bands you can try Marshall Dyllon, a new country group I really like. Go visit Creed, Sarah McLachlan, or Counting Crows. These are all official sites, but if you want to look for some unofficial ones, you can try searching Google, which I think is an excellent search engine for anything you could want to find.
If you are like me, and think music should be played to the fullest extent of its abilities, then you need to check out the company responsible for the kickin system in my car, Crutchfield.
