| August 2, 1995 | Bill Gates threatens to withdraw Windows support for forthcoming Intel microprocessors if Intel continued developing platform-level software that competed with Microsoft. Intel agrees to stop developing platform-level interfaces that might draw support away from interfaces exposed by Windows. |
