Franklin County Peace Alliance

Franklin County Peace Alliance seeks community members who would like to work together to promote a peaceful resolution to the war in Iraq.

We are concerned about the direction our country is headed and believe that our government's current military approach to the problems in Iraq are misguided.

We also believe that change begins right here, locally, by regular people who care about our country. We are seeing a real shift in opinions about the war. Today, most people think the war has been a terrible mistake. It is important that people voice these opinions publicly. We know this is often difficult to do.

Through public discussion and the expression of ideas we are able to see how problems like the Iraq war effect all of us. Hopefully we are able to learn how to avoid the same mistakes in the future.
